What was the new Daher TBM 960 price in 2024?
AOPA’s November 2024 profile put the new TBM 960 with the Prestige Package at $5,288,595 (AOPA, November 2024). Treat this as a dated published package price. The available information does not establish a complete factory equipment-price schedule, taxes, delivery charges, negotiated discounts, or the final amount paid by a particular buyer.
In other words, the figure answers what AOPA reported for that package; it does not establish one universal out-the-door cost. Aircraft configuration and buyer-specific charges can change the total.
How does that compare with a used TBM 960 listing?
AircraftExchange advertised one 2024 TBM 960 for $5,750,000, with 178 airframe hours. The listing also reported inspection and warranty details; its price and availability may change or the listing may be removed (AircraftExchange listing, accessed October 8, 2026).

The observed asking price is higher than AOPA’s dated new-package figure, but those numbers are not like-for-like valuations: one is a single listing and the other a published package benchmark from a different date. The evidence does not show whether the listed aircraft’s configuration, transaction terms, or eventual sale price matched that benchmark.

Daher says HomeSafe can bring the aircraft to a runway touchdown if the pilot is incapacitated. It is a described aircraft system, not a substitute for pilot training or other safety practices. The feature announcement does not state how much, if anything, each update added to the 2024 price.
Does the purchase price tell you what it costs to own?
No. Daher’s product page states a recommended cruise setting of 308 knots at 57 U.S. gallons per hour (Daher TBM product page, accessed October 8, 2026). The company identifies the aircraft’s PT6E-66XT engine, Hartzell five-blade composite propeller, and digital engine and propeller controls. The fuel-flow figure is operating context, not an annual ownership budget.

A realistic ownership estimate would also depend on utilization, fuel price, maintenance, insurance, hangar, financing, and other owner-specific factors. The cited price and specification information does not supply enough assumptions to calculate those costs.

The available listing provides one example, not enough evidence to establish typical asking prices or completed-sale values across the market. Daher reported 56 TBM 960 deliveries worldwide in 2024, including 40 in the United States, in a January 2025 release; those are manufacturer-reported delivery counts, not resale or pricing data (Daher, January 2025).
