Used E1000 GX listings reviewed in September 2026 asked $3.699 million to $4.290 million. These are different generations and price types: the AX figure is reported new-aircraft retail pricing, while GX figures are advertisements—not confirmed sale prices. Fractional access is a separate option, with a 25-hour card listed at $125,000 and a 1/16 share starting at $285,400, plus additional charges.
How much does a new Epic E1000 AX cost?
AOPA reported a retail price of $5.35 million to $5.5 million for the E1000 AX in July 2026, depending on options. Epic’s public AX product page gives specifications but does not publish a price list, so treat the AOPA figure as a dated reported range, not a guaranteed quote. Ask Epic for a price based on the aircraft’s configuration and delivery terms. AOPA reported an approximately one-year backlog at the time of its article; that is a July 2026 snapshot, not a current delivery estimate. AOPA’s July 2026 report and Epic’s AX product page provide the pricing context and specifications.
The AX is the current-generation E1000 covered by that price report. Epic announced FAA type certification for the AX on July 21, 2025. Its published specifications include a maximum cruise speed of 333 knots true airspeed and a maximum operating altitude of 34,000 feet. These figures describe performance, not what a particular equipped aircraft will cost. Epic’s certification announcement gives the certification date and model context.
How much does a used Epic E1000 GX cost?
Used GX asking prices in the cited listings ranged from $3.699 million to $4.290 million. Controller.com’s September 2, 2026 snapshot included a 2024 GX advertised at $4.290 million. Those are seller asking prices; they do not establish the amount a buyer ultimately pays. Controller.com’s E1000 GX listings are time-sensitive and can change as aircraft are listed or sold.

A separate fyiAero report generated September 24, 2026, counted 12 listings and showed a $3.996 million average asking price and a $4.1 million median asking price. The report cautions that its sold records from aircraft.com reflect the last asking price, not the transaction price. These summary figures are another listing snapshot, not appraised values or verified closing prices. Read the fyiAero E1000 GX market report.
Why GX asking prices vary
A listing is not a like-for-like comparison unless you account for the aircraft’s year, installed equipment, hours, condition and maintenance history. A lower advertised price may reflect differences in configuration or aircraft status; the listing range alone does not show why any one aircraft is priced as it is. Confirm the records and aircraft condition through appropriate pre-purchase inspections and professional advice before relying on an asking price in a purchase budget.

Why the AX and GX prices are not interchangeable
The GX is the preceding model; the AX is the newer generation. Epic announced a $3.85 million price for the GX when it replaced the original E1000 in 2021. That is useful historical context, not a current price for a new AX or a benchmark for the value of a particular used GX. The current used-GX figures above are marketplace asking prices, while the AX range is AOPA’s report of retail pricing for a new aircraft. Epic’s 2021 GX announcement documents the historical price.
What does fractional Epic E1000 access cost?
FlyEpic lists two access options: a 25-hour card for $125,000 and a 1/16 share starting at $285,400. The share price is not the total cost of using the aircraft: FlyEpic also lists separate management fees and hourly charges. These program prices buy access rather than a whole aircraft, and should not be compared directly with AX retail pricing or GX listing prices. FlyEpic’s FAQ describes its card and share offerings and additional charges.

Before choosing a fractional arrangement, check the current terms with the provider, including recurring management fees, hourly charges, annual-hour allocation, service area and scheduling conditions. The starting share price by itself does not show what a participant will pay over a year or how much access will suit a particular travel pattern.

The purchase or program-access figure is not a complete ownership budget. The available sources here do not establish a current, itemized annual operating budget for a whole-aircraft E1000 that covers fuel, insurance, hangar, maintenance, engine reserves and utilization assumptions. Do not treat a single hourly or annual estimate as universal: costs depend on the aircraft, operating profile and ownership arrangements. For a realistic personal-finance decision, request a model- and mission-specific budget from qualified aircraft management and maintenance professionals, and evaluate financing and cash-flow implications separately from the advertised purchase price.

How to compare an E1000 price with your budget
- Identify the product: determine whether the quote or listing is for a new AX, a used GX, or fractional access. They represent different aircraft generations and ownership structures.
- Match the price to its evidence: distinguish a manufacturer or reported retail figure from a marketplace asking price, a historical announcement, or a program-access price.
- Verify the specific aircraft or program: for a used aircraft, review year, equipment, hours, condition and maintenance history; for fractional access, obtain all recurring and hourly charges and scheduling terms.
- Build a complete budget: add an independently prepared operating and ownership-cost estimate appropriate to your expected use rather than assuming the purchase price is the full financial commitment.
