There is no verified public 2026 price for a single Boeing 777X aircraft. The clearest current benchmark is Emirates’ November 2025 announcement of a US$38 billion list-price package for 65 Boeing 777-9s and 130 GE9X engines. Dividing the package by 65 works out to about US$584.6 million per aircraft-equivalent, but that is not a standalone aircraft price: it includes the engines, and it is not the confidential amount Emirates will ultimately pay.
What does the US$38 billion figure include?
On November 17, 2025, Emirates announced an order for 65 Boeing 777-9 passenger aircraft with 130 GE9X engines, describing the package as worth US$38 billion at list prices. The airline said the additional engines would bring its GE9X orderbook to 540. Emirates’ announcement identifies the aircraft, engine count and list-price basis.
Boeing separately confirmed the 65-aircraft order and said Emirates’ 777X orderbook would total 270 aircraft. Boeing’s announcement does not provide a separate current unit price.
What is the package value per aircraft?
Dividing US$38 billion by 65 gives approximately US$584.6 million per aircraft-equivalent. This is arithmetic based on the total list-price package, not a price Boeing or Emirates quoted for one 777-9. Because the package includes 130 GE9X engines as well as the aircraft, it should not be presented as the standalone price of a 777X airframe.

Is that what Emirates will pay?
Not necessarily. US$38 billion is the announced list-price value, not a disclosed negotiated transaction price. Airlines often negotiate discounts on major aircraft orders, as the Associated Press reported. The sources do not disclose Emirates’ final price or break out the aircraft and engine portions of the package.
How does the figure compare with an older 777-9 price?
A 2018 report of Boeing commercial-aircraft list prices put the 777-9 at US$425.8 million. That is a historical list-price reference, not a current quote or a directly comparable figure to Emirates’ 2025 aircraft-and-engine package. 24/7 Wall St.’s 2018 report is the source for that dated figure.

Does the price apply to every 777X variant?
No. The Emirates package is for the 777-9 passenger aircraft. The 777X family also includes the 777-8 passenger aircraft and the 777-8 Freighter, but the sources here do not establish current standalone prices for either variant. Boeing’s 2025 annual report says it expected first delivery of the 777-8 Freighter about two years after the 777-9, while the passenger 777-8 was not expected before 2030. Those are forward-looking company estimates, not price information or guaranteed delivery dates. Boeing’s 2025 Form 10-K sets out those expectations.

Boeing’s 2025 Form 10-K delayed the anticipated first 777-9 delivery to 2027. In its second-quarter 2026 results, Boeing said the 777X had received FAA approval to begin certification flight testing under Type Inspection Authorization 4B and reiterated its expectation of first delivery in 2027. The company’s timing is an estimate subject to certification and other changes, not a guarantee. Boeing’s second-quarter 2026 results describe the certification-testing milestone and delivery outlook.
