What was Jamie Vardy’s estimated Leicester wage?

- SalaryLeaks’ 2024–25 estimate is €163,373 per week, or €8.5 million per year.
Neither source establishes that its figure is Vardy’s verified contract salary. The sources do not disclose a common method or confirm whether their estimates represent guaranteed base pay or include other assumptions. The amounts are in different currencies and should not be combined or treated as equivalent contract disclosures.
How those estimates compare with Championship earners
FootyStats says its Championship salary data was last verified for 2025–26. Its annual figures put three players near the top of that table:

FootyStats’ Championship salary table is a secondary-source dataset, not a set of confirmed contracts. Its figures are annual and in euros, while FBref’s Vardy estimate is stated in pounds and SalaryLeaks gives both weekly and annual euro amounts. The seasons also differ: Vardy’s estimates are for 2024–25, and the Championship table is for 2025–26. So the comparison is useful for gauging reported scale, but not for claiming who earned more in the same season.
Vardy is no longer a Leicester player
Vardy’s estimated Leicester wage is historical, not a current Leicester salary. AS reported on April 24, 2025 that he would leave after the 2024–25 campaign, following 13 seasons at the club. He left when his contract expired at the end of that season.

What Leicester’s wage bill adds to the picture
SalaryLeaks estimates Leicester City’s total 2025–26 wage bill at £31.8 million and Southampton’s at £32.7 million. These are club-level estimates from the publisher’s 2025 article, not evidence of any individual player’s pay or a way to verify Vardy’s former wage. They provide only broad context about estimated team spending. SalaryLeaks’ wage-bill table labels its figures as estimates.
