Boeing reported 257 787 Dreamliner deliveries across the five complete calendar years from 2021 through 2025. The yearly counts were 14, 31, 73, 51 and 88. That is a calendar-year total, not an exact rolling five-year count ending October 8, 2026.
How many 787s did Boeing deliver each year?
| Calendar year | Boeing-reported 787 deliveries |
|---|---|
| 2021 | 14 |
| 2022 | 31 |
| 2023 | 73 |
| 2024 | 51 |
| 2025 | 88 |
| 2021–2025 total | 257 |
The total is the sum of Boeing’s annual figures: 14 + 31 + 73 + 51 + 88. The 2021, 2022 and 2023 counts appear in Boeing’s 2023 annual report; the 2024 count is in its 2024 annual report; and the 2025 figure is in its 2025 full-year delivery announcement.
What does “over the past five years” mean here?
The 257 figure covers the five complete calendar years 2021–2025. It should not be read as the exact count for the rolling period from October 8, 2021, through October 8, 2026. The annual figures above do not show which deliveries fell within those partial years, so they cannot establish that rolling total.
What counts as a delivery?
These are Boeing-reported deliveries, not orders or aircraft production starts. Boeing cautions that announced delivery figures are not final until it issues quarterly financial results; see its delivery reporting information.

Boeing describes the Dreamliner as designed to bring big-jet range and speed to a midsize airplane. In its 2024 annual report, the company also said the 787 had enabled more than 420 new point-to-point routes since entering service. These are Boeing’s descriptions of the aircraft and its reported route impact, rather than independent measures of delivery performance. Boeing 2024 annual report.
