Boeing’s latest reported 787 production pace was eight aircraft per month, according to its filing for the six months ended June 30, 2026. At that rate, the annualized equivalent is about 96 aircraft—but that is a run-rate calculation, not a reported full-year production total or a guarantee the pace continued all year.
What is Boeing’s latest reported 787 production rate?
Boeing said in its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 that the 787 factory had stabilized at eight aircraft per month. The statement describes the factory’s production pace as of the filing period, not the number of 787s delivered to customers during the year.

What does that rate equal per year?
Eight aircraft per month multiplied by 12 months equals 96 aircraft. That is the annualized equivalent of Boeing’s reported pace, assuming it holds steady for a full year. Boeing did not state 96 as a full-year production forecast in the filing.
How did the factory reach eight per month?
Boeing said it began increasing the 787 production rate to eight per month in the fourth quarter of 2025 and worked to stabilize it during the first quarter of 2026. The factory slowed briefly in April 2026 because of supply-chain shortages, then recovered in May. Boeing said the recovery and continued supply-chain and factory improvement enabled the eight-per-month pace.

Is the production rate the same as annual deliveries?
No. A monthly production rate describes the pace at which aircraft are being built; deliveries count aircraft handed over to customers. Boeing reported 314 commercial-aircraft deliveries across all its programs in the first half of 2026, but that company-wide total is not a 787-only figure. Its full-year 2025 results likewise reported 600 commercial-aircraft deliveries across all models, not 787 production.

The official figures cited here do not establish a final full-year 2026 787 production or delivery total. The eight-per-month disclosure covers the rate reported by June 30, 2026; it should not be treated as proof that Boeing maintained that pace through December. Boeing’s second-quarter 2026 results report aggregate commercial-aircraft deliveries, not a full-year 787 count.
