It depends on what you mean by “funds.” A direct Robux transfer is added to the recipient’s balance instantly after they accept it, if the transfer meets Roblox’s requirements. Sale earnings can stay Pending for an unspecified holding period, while a DevEx cash-out has a separate review process—estimated at about 10 business days for first-time users or 5 business days for returning users—plus bank processing time. Start by checking My Transactions to identify the transaction and its status.
First identify what kind of Roblox funds are moving
“Funds transfer” can refer to several different things: Robux sent to another user, Robux earned from a sale, a balance display updating, or cash requested through Developer Exchange (DevEx). These processes do not share one timing estimate. Roblox’s published guidance also does not promise one universal release time for Pending sale proceeds.

How long each Roblox transaction can take

How to check where your Robux are
- Open My Transactions. On the web, select your Robux amount to open the transactions page. Roblox provides balance views in its app and on Xbox as well. The page includes incoming and outgoing summaries, purchases, sales of goods, Creator Rewards, and group payouts. See Roblox’s transaction-history instructions.
- Identify the transaction type and status. A direct transfer awaiting acceptance is different from sale proceeds marked Pending, a balance that has not updated yet, or a DevEx request under review.
- For a direct transfer, confirm acceptance and eligibility. The recipient can accept from the notification and check its status in My Transactions. Review any age-check or parent-approval requirement that applies to the account. Roblox’s transfer instructions.
- For earnings from a sale, check Pending Robux. Pending means the proceeds are being held; Roblox does not state a fixed Experience Pass release duration in its cited support guidance. Pending Robux details.
- For DevEx, separate Roblox’s review from bank delivery. The business-day estimate covers Roblox’s review and processing; your payment provider’s processing follows afterward. DevEx payout timing.
What can delay or prevent a direct transfer?
Instant timing applies only after an eligible transfer is accepted. The recipient may still need to complete an age check; younger users may need linked-parent approval. Regional rules, transfer limits, and other unmet requirements can also affect completion. Roblox says limits may change, so check the current transfer flow and any notices on the account rather than relying on an old limit. Some transfers can be canceled and returned under the documented process.
Security: do not pay to release Robux
Roblox says direct transfers are final and cannot be reversed or canceled after sending. Send Robux only to people you know, and never send Robux to “verify” an account or unlock a pending transfer; Roblox says it will never ask for Robux for account verification or any other reason. A separate Roblox security feature, Delayed Actions, can place a wait—typically several hours—on sensitive actions, potentially including movement of assets.
