Horizon Investments completed its acquisition of LSA Portfolio Analytics on September 22, 2026. LSA is a Missouri-based outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) firm that provides investment research, portfolio analytics and investment models to independent financial advisors. Horizon says the deal expands its OCIO and consulting capabilities; the companies did not disclose financial terms.
What does LSA Portfolio Analytics do?
Founded in 2005 by Brad and Ryan Kasper, LSA supports financial advisors with investment research, portfolio analytics and models used in portfolio construction and investment decisions. Horizon said LSA served more than 200 advisory firms nationwide when it announced the acquisition. That figure is Horizon’s company-reported description, not an independently verified client count.
Here, “managed services” refers to outsourced investment and portfolio support—not general IT services. LSA’s documented work is in the OCIO category, where an outside provider supplies investment expertise and tools to advisory firms.
What Horizon says it gains from the acquisition
Horizon said buying LSA expands its OCIO and consulting capabilities for financial advisors by adding LSA’s research, analytics and portfolio-modeling expertise. That is the buyer’s stated rationale; the announcement does not provide independent evidence of improved investment outcomes or specify how the businesses will be integrated.

Horizon describes its broader business as combining investment solutions, proprietary planning technology and practice consulting for independent financial advisors. The company reported that, as of its September 2026 announcement, it had 16 active ETFs representing more than $4.5 billion in assets under management. Those are Horizon’s figures and are not independently audited in the sources cited here.
LSA’s founders take roles at Horizon
Brad and Ryan Kasper joined Horizon as Directors of Account Management, Consulting Solutions, reporting to Austin Fitch, CFA, Head of Consulting Solutions. Brad Kasper, LSA’s co-founder, said the firms shared an “advisor-first philosophy” and described the opportunity to work with Fitch and other Horizon colleagues to expand LSA’s reach as appealing.

Horizon President and CEO John Drahzal said LSA’s expertise and approach would be a strong addition as Horizon expands its OCIO capabilities. Both statements describe the companies’ perspective on the deal, not a commitment about future services, client retention or investment performance.
