As of October 8, 2026, Kelley Blue Book’s estimated resale values for cited 2025 Toyota Highlander gas trims range from $36,800 to $47,000; cited hybrid trims range from $42,700 to $49,500. These are model-and-trim estimates, not a nationwide range of dealer asking prices. The value of a specific Highlander depends on its trim, mileage, condition, location and the type of transaction.
2025 Highlander resale estimates by trim
The figures below are Kelley Blue Book resale estimates reported in 2026 for one-year-old, 2025 model-year Highlanders. Resale value is not the same as trade-in value, Fair Purchase Price or a dealer’s advertised price.

What these values do—and do not—tell you
Resale estimate versus asking price
A resale estimate is a valuation, not a promise that a dealer will list or sell a vehicle for that amount. KBB also publishes Fair Purchase Price, which it describes as based on collected consumer purchase prices, registration databases and other third-party sources. A dealer’s asking price is a separate figure and should be compared with local listings for vehicles of similar specification and condition.

Trade-in and private-party values
Trade-in value estimates what a vehicle may be worth when traded to a dealer; it can differ substantially from its resale estimate. A private-party estimate is another transaction measure. Compare like with like: a trade-in offer against a trade-in estimate, and a private-party offer against a private-party estimate.
Depreciation is an estimate, not a guarantee
The depreciation amounts and percentages in the table are KBB estimates for the named trims, not a forecast for every Highlander. KBB says depreciation can vary with local weather, market factors and driver performance. The cited percentages also do not establish how much a particular car has lost in value since its original purchase price.

Why there is no single price for a one-year-old Highlander
Toyota’s 2025 lineup includes gas LE, XLE, XSE, Limited and Platinum trims, as well as Hybrid XLE, Hybrid XLE Nightshade, Hybrid Limited, Hybrid Limited 25th Edition and Hybrid Platinum. Toyota lists estimated fuel economy by model and seating for up to eight. The gas and hybrid versions, and the different trim levels, do not share one used value.
Toyota’s published starting MSRP for the 2025 lineup ranges from $40,320 for the gas LE to $54,475 for the Hybrid Platinum. Those are manufacturer-published new-car starting prices, not today’s value for a one-year-old example. Kelley Blue Book’s trim/spec page gives a different gas-trim MSRP range—$43,370 for the LE to $54,175 for the Platinum—so MSRP figures should be attributed to their source rather than treated as interchangeable. How to judge the price of a specific used Highlander
- Identify the exact vehicle. Confirm gas or hybrid, trim, drivetrain, mileage, equipment and condition. Do not assume two vehicles with the same model year have the same market value.
- Set the location. Check a valuation for the vehicle’s ZIP code. KBB’s cited LE page, for example, showed condition-based values for San Antonio ZIP 78201 valid through September 17, 2026; its XLE page showed values for Des Moines ZIP 50301 valid through October 1, 2026. These are localized, dated examples rather than current quotes for every buyer.
- Choose the right valuation measure. For a dealer listing, compare the asking price with local listings and Fair Purchase Price. For a trade-in, compare the dealer’s offer with a trade-in estimate. For a private sale, use a private-party valuation rather than a dealer asking price.
- Calculate the out-the-door cost separately. Add applicable taxes, registration, dealer fees and add-ons, and account for financing. A vehicle’s advertised price is not necessarily the total amount you will pay.
KBB’s values are ZIP- and condition-sensitive, and its published examples have validity dates. Check an updated valuation for the exact vehicle and locality before using any figure to set an offer or sale price. Kelley Blue Book’s valuation guidance explains its pricing measures and cautions that estimates can vary.
