The Alberta Securities Commission says Cancentra is not registered to trade in or advise on securities or derivatives in Alberta. Regulators in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick also issued alerts involving CanCentra and related names. Those notices are serious cautions, but they are not a court judgment about every person or business with a similar name.
What Canadian regulators say about Cancentra
The clearest warning is from the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC). Its Investment Caution List entry, added March 4, 2025, states: “Cancentra is not registered to trade in or advise on securities or derivatives in Alberta.” The entry associates the name with ethbot.co/cancentra-en-ca3 and a.ecosmartfunds.com. These are the web addresses listed in the ASC entry; their association does not establish that every similarly named business is the same entity.
Other Canadian regulators have published related cautions, each tied to its own jurisdiction and records:
- Nova Scotia: A March 14, 2025 investor alert issued by the Nova Scotia Securities Commission and published by the Canadian Securities Administrators lists CanCentra with CanCap-App, CanCapV2, CanCap, and Immediate Flectinium. The alert records the purported base of operation as the Czech Republic. Read the CSA alert.
- New Brunswick: The Financial and Consumer Services Commission’s March 5, 2025 caution lists CanCentra as an alias of CanCap and says the platform is not registered to deal or advise in securities in that province. The commission cautions that its alert does not cover unrelated businesses with similar names. Read the New Brunswick caution.
Registration is jurisdiction-specific. A regulator’s statement about Alberta does not, by itself, settle authorization in every province or territory; check with the regulator where you live and confirm the exact legal entity and website. The alerts are regulator cautions and registration statements, not proof of a court finding against every entity or individual that may use a related name.

What the Cancentra website discloses
When inspected, Cancentra.ca displayed “Launching Soon,” a contact form, and an email-list signup rather than substantive investment information. The accessible page did not explain investment products, fees, risk disclosures, withdrawal procedures, or the legal operator. That is a description of the page at the time it was inspected; it may change, and it does not necessarily represent every web address cited in regulator notices.
Without those details, a reader cannot use the page to assess how an investment would work, what it costs, how funds are held, or how withdrawals would be handled. Do not fill in those gaps with assumptions or treat a displayed balance, advertisement, or testimonial as independent verification.

What customer reviews do—and do not—show
Trustpilot’s cancentra.ca profile was unclaimed and categorized under email service provider/web hosting company when reviewed. It displayed one review and a score of 3.2. The single visible review was one star and was updated April 17, 2025. The reviewer, Dave Measor, said he was contacted repeatedly after signing up and suspected scam activity. That is one reviewer’s account, not an established finding about Cancentra or a measure of how customers generally are treated. Trustpilot says it does not fact-check specific review claims and that opinions belong to individual users. See the Trustpilot profile.
A one-review profile cannot establish whether the reported calls are typical, how many customers had similar experiences, or whether the reviewer dealt with the same entity described in regulator notices. The count and score are platform information, not evidence of complaint prevalence.

How to check an investment firm before sending money
- Identify the exact firm. Ask for the full legal name, registration number, website, and the name of the entity that would receive and hold your money. Compare those details—not just the brand name—with regulator records.
- Check with your own securities regulator. Use the official regulator for your province or territory and ask whether that specific legal entity is authorized to trade or advise in the products being offered. The ASC, CSA, and New Brunswick notices are useful warnings, but your check should match your location and the firm’s exact identity.
- Verify the offer independently. Look for written, specific information about products, fees, investment risks, custody of funds, withdrawal conditions, and complaint handling. Confirm important details through contact information obtained independently, not solely through a link or phone number supplied by a promoter.
- Pause if the details do not match or cannot be verified. Do not send money while the operator, authorization, or terms remain unclear. An ad, unsolicited call, testimonial, or platform balance display is not proof of registration or a successful withdrawal.
- If you have already sent funds, preserve records. Save messages, account statements, transaction details, website addresses, and contact information. Contact your financial institution promptly about the transaction and ask your securities regulator how to report the matter.
Verdict: Is Cancentra worth trying?
Based on the available public information, no: do not deposit funds with Cancentra unless you independently confirm that the precise firm and offer are authorized in your jurisdiction. The most decision-relevant facts are the Alberta registration warning, related provincial and CSA alerts, and the lack of substantive investment terms on the Cancentra.ca page when inspected. The lone Trustpilot review is too limited to establish a broader customer pattern, but it is not needed to justify caution.
