HPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officer Recruitment 2024: Application Deadline and Key Details

The application deadline for the Haryana Public Service Commission’s 805 Ayurvedic Medical Officer (AMO) posts was July 12, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Applications and fee payments under Advertisement No. 16 of 2024 are closed. HPSC later reported that the screening test took place on September 23, 2024; the reviewed notices do not establish the final selection or appointment outcome.

What was the HPSC AMO recruitment?

HPSC advertised 805 Ayurvedic Medical Officer (Group-B) posts in Haryana’s Health & Ayush Department under Advertisement No. 16 of 2024. Applications opened June 22, 2024, and the closing time for both the application and fee payment was July 12, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. HPSC Advertisement No. 16 of 2024

How were the 805 posts distributed?

The advertisement listed the following main category allocation. HPSC said category counts could vary.

What were the eligibility requirements?

Education, language, and registration

  • A degree in Ayurvedic System of Medicine from a government-recognized university or institution.
  • Knowledge of Hindi up to Matric standard.
  • Registration with the Board of Ayurvedic/Unani System of Medicine, Haryana, identified parenthetically in the notice as the Indian Medical Council of Haryana.

HPSC qualification requirements

Age

Candidates had to be 23 to 42 years old on or before June 1, 2024. The advertisement provided relaxations for specified categories subject to its rules and conditions, so eligibility depended on the candidate’s category and applicable requirements. HPSC age requirements and relaxations

Meeting the minimum did not guarantee an interview

HPSC cautioned that “The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.” The commission also reserved the right to shortlist candidates if applications were numerous. HPSC Advertisement No. 16 of 2024

How did the application process work?

Applications had to be submitted online through the HPSC process. The advertisement said an application was complete only after the candidate paid the fee, printed the submitted form, checked and signed it, and uploaded the signed copy. What happened after applications closed?

HPSC announced on September 25, 2024, that the screening test for the 805 posts had been held on September 23, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Its announcement addressed the standard question booklet, answer key, and objections.
