Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) Advertisement No. 6/2024 offered 6,000 Haryana Police General Duty constable posts, but its application window is closed. Applications were scheduled from 29 June to 8 July 2024. This was a re-advertisement, separate from HSSC’s earlier Advt. 1/2024.

What Advt. 6/2024 covered

HSSC published the re-advertisement on 28 June 2024. It listed 6,000 General Duty constable vacancies: 5,000 for male candidates and 1,000 for female candidates. The notice also provided category-wise allocations; consult the official advertisement for those details rather than relying on an abbreviated summary.

The application portal was scheduled to open on 29 June and close at 11:59 p.m. on 8 July 2024. The notice stated that no application fee was required. These dates are historical; candidates cannot apply through this closed window. Read HSSC Advertisement No. 6/2024.

How this notice differs from the earlier 2024 recruitment

HSSC had also issued Advt. 1/2024 for 6,000 constable posts, with an application period in February and March 2024. Advt. 6/2024 was a later re-advertisement, published in June, with applications in late June and early July. The two notices should not be treated as one application cycle: their advertisement numbers, dates, and applicable terms are distinct. See the earlier Advt. 1/2024.

Eligibility requirements in the advertisement

Education and CET

Candidates were required to qualify the Group-C Common Eligibility Test (CET). The education requirement was 10+2 from a recognized board or institution, plus matriculation with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject. The notice stated that higher education would not earn additional weightage.

Age and relaxation

The stated age range was 18 to 25, calculated as of 1 June 2024. The advertisement also provided a one-time three-year relaxation beyond the respective upper-age limits, including for some candidates who had applied under Advt. 1/2024 and had since become overage. Further category-based relaxations under government instructions and a separate break-in-service condition for ex-servicemen also applied. Eligibility therefore depended on the relevant relaxation and individual circumstances, not just the headline age range.

Advertised pay

The pay listed was ₹21,700, Level 3 Cell 1. This is the advertised pay figure; it is not a calculation of take-home salary.

Selection stages

The process set out in Advt. 6/2024 began with CET-merit-based shortlisting for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Candidates meeting the PMT requirements proceeded to the Physical Screening Test (PST). Both physical stages were qualifying in nature, and candidates failing PMT standards were to be eliminated.

HSSC could conduct tests in batches and shortlist candidates who qualified for the Knowledge Test, up to four times the number of advertised posts in each category. The advertisement contains the controlling standards and test details; general summaries should not substitute for it when checking physical requirements or Knowledge Test rules.
