HPPSC’s 2024 recruitment notice for Assistant Engineer (Civil) advertised 15 contract posts in Himachal Pradesh’s Jal Shakti Vibhag. What the 2024 HPPSC notice offered
The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission invited applications for 15 Assistant Engineer (Civil), Class-I (Gazetted) posts on a contract basis in Jal Shakti Vibhag, Himachal Pradesh. The notice listed Pay Band Level 18, with a pay range of Rs. 56,100–177,500. It set 29 March 2024 at 11:59 p.m. as the deadline for both the online application and fee.

Reservation benefits were subject to the notice’s Himachal Pradesh bonafide-resident conditions. Applicants from other states claiming reserved categories were to be treated as General Category candidates for this recruitment.
Who was eligible
Education
The essential qualification was a regular, full-time degree in Civil Engineering from an AICTE/UGC-approved or otherwise recognized institute or university. The notice also specified an AMIE route for candidates enrolled on or before 31 May 2013 through the named engineering institutions. Applicants should consult the official advertisement for the exact conditions attached to that route.
Age
The stated age range was 18 to 45 years, reckoned on the application closing date. The advertisement provided a five-year upper-age relaxation for specified categories; it was not a blanket relaxation for every applicant. The applicable category conditions and proof requirements in the notice govern.
Documents
HPPSC instructed applicants to upload their matriculation certificate as age proof, degree certificates and mark sheets, and applicable experience and category documents. Reserved-category applicants were directed to provide a Himachali bonafide certificate. Candidates were responsible for ensuring that eligibility documents were uploaded through the OTRS portal.

The notice makes the selection arrangements subject to the applicable recruitment rules. It also allows for an exception: where the ratio of eligible candidates to posts is small, candidates may be called directly for the personality test. The stated scheme does not establish which examinations any individual candidate actually took.

For the personality test, the notice states minimum pass marks of 12 for General Category candidates and 9 for reserved-category candidates. Applicants seeking later schedules or amendments should check HPPSC’s official site.

No. The application and fee deadline passed on 29 March 2024, so the 2024 recruitment is not open for applications. The reviewed advertisement and HPPSC homepage do not establish the final result, appointments, cancellation, or other later outcome for these posts.
