Why published gold rates may differ
The two APGJSA-attributed reports agree on the 24-karat rates, but a same-date Economy.pk report listed gold at PKR447,700 per tola and PKR383,840 per 10 grams. That is a material discrepancy, so the values should not be combined as though they were one rate series. The reported APGJSA attribution is supported here by news coverage; no primary association bulletin is available among these sources.

PKRevenue says the association calculates its rates using prevailing interbank foreign-exchange rates issued by the State Bank of Pakistan. That methodology note does not make a published rate a guaranteed jeweller’s buying or selling quote. - Check the date: these are historical figures for December 9, 2025, not a live market quote.
