The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) later recorded that the preliminary exam took place on 8 September 2024, the main exam on 7–9 March 2025, and document verification was scheduled for June 2025. Its 27 May 2025 notice covers 64 posts after an addendum—not just the 24 posts mentioned in the earlier headline. Check HPPSC’s official notices and application portal for current recruitment opportunities.
Is the 2024 HPPSC Allied Services registration deadline still open?
No. The “deadline today” wording refers to a past recruitment cycle. HPPSC’s notice dated 27 May 2025 records that the preliminary examination, main examination, and document-verification stage had all been scheduled or completed by then. The notice does not establish a current application window. Anyone seeking a new opportunity should check HPPSC’s latest notices rather than rely on an old registration headline.
Why did the headline mention 24 posts when HPPSC later listed 64?
HPPSC identifies the recruitment as the Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Allied Services/Posts (Group-C) Examination 2023. Its 27 May 2025 notice says the original Advertisement No. 45/12-2023 was dated 31 December 2023 and was followed by an addendum dated 5 March 2024. The 24 posts correspond to Election Kanungo and Extension Officer (Industries); the later notice also includes 40 posts in two other categories.
| Post | Employment basis | Posts in HPPSC’s 27 May 2025 notice |
|---|---|---|
| Election Kanungo | Contract | 15 |
| Extension Officer (Industries) | Contract | 9 |
| Assistant State Taxes and Excise Officer | Regular | 35 |
| Inspector (Audit) | Contract | 5 |
| Total | Mixed | 64 |
The 2025 notice is the source for the 64-post total and the addendum context. It supports the arithmetic behind the earlier 24-post figure (15 plus 9), but does not make that old registration window open again. Consult HPPSC’s official site for notifications, schedules, and the online application portal.

What were the examination and selection dates?
HPPSC’s notice dated 27 May 2025 records the following milestones for this recruitment:
- Preliminary exam: 8 September 2024.
- Main-exam application: qualified preliminary candidates could apply online from 12 November through 26 November 2024, up to 11:59 p.m. Their printed application and supporting documents had to reach HPPSC by 2 December 2024.
- Main exam: 7–9 March 2025.
- Document verification: scheduled for June 2025.
The November 2024 application dates were for candidates who had qualified in the preliminary examination and were moving to the main exam. They were not an initial-registration period or a current deadline.

What did HPPSC report about candidates?
In its 27 May 2025 notice, the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission reported that 1,273 candidates qualified for the main exam. It said 1,243 candidates were provisionally admitted after 30 candidatures were rejected, and 109 candidates were shortlisted for document verification. These figures describe this recruitment cycle, not a general pass rate or forecast for future HPPSC exams.
What documents did the 2025 notice list for verification?
For this historical document-verification stage, HPPSC listed matriculation proof of age; +2 and bachelor’s degree certificates and marksheets; experience certificates where required; relevant category certificates; and other documents depending on the candidate’s circumstances. It also said certificates had to be valid both on the Online Recruitment Application closing date and on the document-verification date. These instructions apply to the documented cycle; applicants to any new recruitment should follow the instructions in its own notice.

Where can applicants check for current HPPSC vacancies?
Use HPPSC’s official website to review current notifications and schedules and access its online application portal. Confirm the advertisement number, post, eligibility requirements, employment basis, and application dates in the applicable notice before submitting an application. An old “last date to apply online” search result is not evidence that a recruitment is still accepting applications.
