Grace Springer said she made no money from the viral Coldplay concert video or its views, and that the video was not monetized. A separate report later described a screenshot showing slightly more than $1 in account earnings, but it did not establish that the amount came from the clip.
What Springer said about the video’s earnings
In a July 21, 2025 interview on the U.K. program This Morning, Springer said: “I’ve actually made no money from the video itself or the views. It’s not monetized.” Us Weekly reported her statement.

That is the clearest direct answer to how much the clip made her: she said it generated no money for her. The statement describes her earnings from the video and its views, not necessarily every kind of income in her account.
Why a report mentioned more than $1
An August 9, 2025 EL PAÍS feature described a screenshot Springer shared showing slightly more than $1 in account earnings as of July 19. That screenshot predates her July 21 interview, and the report does not establish that the account-level amount was generated by the viral video alone. It should not be treated as a verified clip-specific payout or as contradicting her statement about the video.

Views are not the same as earnings
EL PAÍS reported that the pinned TikTok post had nearly 130 million views when its feature was published on August 9, 2025. That is a dated snapshot, not a current view count. A large number of views does not, by itself, show how much a creator earned: the reporting does not establish a clip-specific payment tied to that figure.

Springer recorded the footage at Coldplay’s July 16, 2025 concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. During a stadium-jumbotron segment, two concertgoers reacted to appearing on the screen. Chris Martin joked that they might be having an affair or might simply be shy; the joke did not establish that they were in a relationship.

The Associated Press reported that Astronomer confirmed the concertgoers were CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot. It also reported that Byron was placed on leave while the company investigated, and that he later resigned. Astronomer named cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy interim CEO while it sought a successor. Those were company actions reported by AP; the available reporting does not establish that Springer’s post alone caused them. The Associated Press covered the company’s response.
Springer said she had her phone out because she hoped to see herself on the big screen and liked capturing moments. She said she did not think much of the moment while filming, though people in the crowd were talking about it afterward.
