The September 2025 application window reported for the Prime Minister’s Electric Bike and Rickshaw Scheme has passed. The announcement does not confirm that applications are open now.
The eligibility rules and model-by-model installment figures below were reported by TechJuice; they were not specified in the Ministry announcement. Treat them as historical reported terms, not current offers. Check the official portal and current Ministry notices before making plans.
Who was reported to be eligible?
TechJuice reported the following eligibility conditions for the 2025 scheme. The Ministry announcement located for this article confirmed that bike registration had opened, but did not list these detailed conditions.
Electric bikes
- Pakistani citizenship and a valid CNIC.
- Age 18–65.
- A valid driving license or learner’s permit.
- No history of bank loan defaults.
- A bank account, or willingness to open one.
Rickshaws and loaders
- Pakistani citizenship and a valid CNIC.
- Age 21–65.
- A rickshaw license.
- No history of bank loan defaults.

TechJuice also reported special quotas of 25% for women, 10% for delivery riders, and 10% for Balochistan residents, and said students and low-income workers were priorities. These are secondary-source details, not confirmed in the Ministry’s registration-opening announcement.

What monthly installments did reports list?

The report did not provide installment terms for every model in the same way: the bike entries below are described as 24-month payments only where that term was stated, and the rickshaw/loader entries have no term stated in the supplied report. The figures do not establish that these models or terms remain available.

What subsidy amounts does the official policy set as references?
The Ministry’s final NEV Policy 2025–30 gives initial reference cost-sharing amounts of PKR 65,000 for two-wheelers and PKR 400,000 for three-wheelers. It says the per-vehicle subsidy is planned to decline in later policy years, subject to review. These policy reference amounts are not a promise that every applicant receives that amount or that they match the model-specific amounts in TechJuice’s report.

TechJuice reported that applications were scheduled for September 1–30, 2025, with an e-balloting planned for October 1 if applications exceeded the quota. Those dates are in the past; they do not show whether a new round is open. The Ministry’s September 3, 2025 post said registration for EV bikes had opened and directed applicants to pave.gov.pk, but it is a dated opening announcement rather than a current-status notice.

If you are checking for a current opportunity, use the official portal at pave.gov.pk and look for a current application notice, eligible vehicle list, participating lender, and published terms. Do not assume an old application link, installment table, or seller advertisement confirms a live PAVE offer.
What is known about selection and insurance?
A later TechJuice report said 40,000 two-wheeler applicants and 1,000 three-wheeler applicants were selected from more than 269,000 applications in 2025. These are figures published by TechJuice, not independently verified official totals.
The Ministry documented discussion of insurance rates in July 2025, but that record does not establish final rates or a currently available insurance offer. Ask the relevant lender or insurer for written, current coverage and cost details before agreeing to financing.
