HIO Music says Arabian Prince will help shape its products and experiences for artists and listeners as its Chief Innovation Officer (CIO). The appointment signals an ambition to combine music and technology expertise with artist-focused features; it does not, by itself, show that the platform’s user experience or artist earnings have improved.

What is Arabian Prince expected to do at HIO Music?

HIO’s current website lists Arabian Prince as CIO and describes him as a songwriter, rapper, producer, DJ, technologist, and founding member of N.W.A. HIO Music’s website confirms the title and his background.

An appointment report on Binance Square says the role is intended to enhance user experience and develop solutions that engage artists and listeners and empower them financially. That is a description of the role’s aims, not evidence of results. The report quotes HIO founder Ryder Havdale describing Arabian Prince’s expertise at the intersection of music and technology as a fit for the company’s plans. It also quotes Arabian Prince saying he was excited to contribute to a platform focused on musical artistry and innovation. These quotes are available through the secondary report, rather than a primary interview or transcript. Read the appointment report.

How does HIO say it will support artists?

HIO presents itself as a streaming service designed to reward artists and community builders. Its website says 100% of subscription fees go to the artists and rights holders a subscriber listens to. That is HIO’s stated model, not an independently audited finding about payouts, calculations, or how much an individual artist receives. See HIO’s description of its service.

In practical terms, the CIO appointment connects that artist-focused positioning with a stated goal of improving how artists and listeners use the service. The available announcements do not set out specific new features Arabian Prince will lead, nor do they provide evidence of increased artist income, user satisfaction, or platform adoption following his appointment.

What is known about HIO’s catalog and product plans?

HIO’s website currently says it has “6 Million songs currently under license” and “100 Million on the way.” These are company-reported figures and a target, not an independent catalog audit or confirmation that the target has been reached.

A November 21, 2024 company release also reported more than 6 million licensed songs and said the app was available on iOS, Android, and Solana Saga at that time. It described payments, staking, token rewards, NFT minting, an artist merchandise store, a social feed, ticketing, and an advertising suite as upcoming features. Those were roadmap descriptions in the 2024 release; they should not be read as a current feature list. The company said it aimed to scale to 100 million songs by late 2025, but the sources cited here do not establish whether it met that target. Read HIO’s November 2024 release.

That release also said George Brown University partnered with HIO through its AI program to build a music-discovery engine. This, too, is a company-reported statement. It does not establish the engine’s current availability or performance.

What does the later Symphonic partnership add?

On January 9, 2026, music-distribution company Symphonic announced a partnership with HIO and described artist-facing streaming and fan-relationship tools. The announcement provides later context for HIO’s artist-services ambitions, but it does not establish HIO’s current artist eligibility rules, payout terms, or a referral program. What should artists and listeners verify?

For anyone considering the service, the appointment is a statement about leadership and direction—not a substitute for checking the operating details that affect a listener’s subscription or an artist’s income.

  • Artists: Confirm enrollment eligibility, rights and distribution requirements, payout calculations and timing, and what listener data is available before relying on projected income.
  • Listeners: Check current app availability, subscription terms, catalog coverage, and whether specific features are live.
  • Anyone evaluating $HIO: Verify the token’s current status and utility directly from up-to-date official terms. A 2024 token-launch roadmap does not establish what the token does today.

The available sources do not report a measurable user-experience improvement, artist-income increase, or other post-appointment outcome. HIO’s appointment announcement and service claims therefore describe intentions and company positioning, not verified financial results.
