What was released, and when?
Scroll.in reported that the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (HPSSC) released the provisional answer key for Lineman Post Code 971 on September 27, 2022. The report said the Lineman examination took place on September 25, 2022. The recruitment notice figures reported by Scroll.in were 186 Lineman posts and 163 Sub Station Attendant posts. These figures describe that recruitment drive, not a current vacancy count.
Can you still download the Lineman 971 key?
The 2022 report directed candidates to the former HPSSC website’s Notifications area and a post-specific answer-key link. The legacy download route now returns a 404, and the linked former homepage returns a 403, so those routes do not provide a working download at present. Former HPSSC website.

The current Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission website has an Answer Keys category in its results navigation, but that general page does not establish that it hosts the historic HPSSC Post Code 971 file. Check it for any available official record, but do not assume the 2022 PDF is there. Current HPPSC website.
What happened to objections and the final key?
Scroll.in reported that suggestions or objections had to be submitted by October 8, 2022, at 5 p.m. That was a historical deadline and is no longer open.
FreeJobAlert lists a “Final Answer Key & Result” entry dated November 1, 2022, but the linked legacy record could not be retrieved to verify the document or its contents. - Confirm that the document identifies Lineman Post Code 971, rather than Sub Station Attendant Post Code 972.
- Check whether it is labelled provisional or final. A provisional key is not the same as a final key.
- Match the paper or set identifier on the key to your question paper. Do not transfer answers between sets without an official mapping.
- Look for an official notice or archived commission record that links to the PDF. A third-party listing alone does not verify the answers.
