Which GPSC recruitment did the notice cover?
Gujarat Public Service Commission Advertisement 127/2024-25 invited applications for Deputy Section Officer and Deputy Mamlatdar, Class-3 posts. The 72 vacancies were allocated as follows:

GPSC identified this as a special recruitment drive for candidates with disabilities and set out qualifying disability categories and conditions in the official advertisement. The total should not be read as 72 unrestricted vacancies for all candidates.
Can you still apply? What was the deadline?
No. Applications were accepted through GPSC-OJAS from 1 February 2025 at 13:00 until 17 February 2025 at 23:59. The GPSC-OJAS record for Advertisement 127/2024-25 marks the deadline expired. The “closes today” wording was accurate only on the original publication date, 17 February 2025.

The original advertisement remains useful for understanding the recruitment, but its application route is not a current way to submit an application. GPSC advised candidates to read the advertisement number and post name carefully before applying.
What eligibility conditions did the advertisement set?
According to the notice, applicants needed a bachelor’s degree from a qualifying recognized university or an equivalent qualification, basic knowledge of computer applications under Gujarat Civil Services rules, and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi. The age requirement was at least 20 and under 45 on the closing date, with relaxations specified for eligible categories. The special-drive disability criteria also applied; consult the advertisement for the qualifying categories and conditions.

What pay did the notice state?
The advertisement described fixed pay of Rs. 49,600 for the first five years. It then described appointment in the Level-7 pay matrix, subject to satisfactory service and the conditions stated in the notice. These are terms in the 2025 advertisement, not confirmation of pay terms for a future GPSC recruitment.

The notice described a preliminary test followed by a mains written examination. Its preliminary test was a 200-mark General Knowledge paper lasting two hours, with negative marking. The mains comprised four papers, each worth 100 marks and lasting three hours:

The advertisement listed 25 April 2025 for the preliminary test and June 2025 for the mains as tentative dates. Those dates were tentative when stated in the notice, not a current exam schedule.
Check the right notice before acting
“DSO” can refer to different GPSC posts. Advertisement 127/2024-25 concerns Deputy Section Officer / Deputy Mamlatdar. A separate GPSC advertisement, 124/2024-25, concerned two Child Marriage Prevention Officer-cum-District Social Defence Officer, Class-II posts. Check both the advertisement number and full post name, along with eligibility, applicable disability conditions, deadline and the official OJAS status, before relying on any recruitment link.
