In the United States, you can look for possible free formula samples and savings through Enfamil Family Beginnings and MySimilac Rewards, and check whether your state WIC program can help with formula costs. Samples and discounts are not guaranteed, and a promotion is not a recommendation about which formula is right for your baby.
Compare the official sample and rewards programs
| Program | What it advertises | What to expect when signing up |
|---|---|---|
| Enfamil Family Beginnings | Possible free formula samples, discounts, cash-back rebates on qualifying purchases, rewards, and partner offers. | The signup form requests your name, email, and due date or birth date. Joining includes Enfamil communications, and benefits vary by member. Its “up to $400” headline is an advertised maximum, not a guaranteed or typical savings amount. The page also promotes a sweepstakes ending December 31, 2026; that is separate from any sample or discount. |
| MySimilac Rewards | Possible formula samples in a welcome kit, coupons, points earned through product QR codes, nutrition support, and partner perks. | Signup asks for the baby’s birthday or anticipated arrival date. Abbott and service providers process participant information for program participation and promotions; offers and values may vary, and additional terms or restrictions may apply. A Shutterfly photo-book offer on the page expired July 31, 2026, so do not count on that specific offer. |
Check each Enfamil Family Beginnings program page and MySimilac Rewards page for current eligibility, delivery, redemption, and offer terms before enrolling. The pages describe possible benefits, not a promise that every participant will receive a sample or a particular dollar value.
What to check before enrolling
- Review contact and privacy terms. Enfamil says members receive samples, offers, and other Enfamil communications. Similac explains that Abbott and service providers process information for program participation and promotions. Read the current privacy notices and terms so you know how your details may be used.
- Check the actual offer, not just the headline. Confirm who qualifies, how a benefit is delivered, whether purchase or redemption conditions apply, and whether the offer is still valid. A sweepstakes, partner perk, coupon, and cash-back rebate are different kinds of benefits.
- Do not plan a household budget around an advertised maximum. Enfamil’s “up to $400” figure is a promotional ceiling; the program says benefits vary. The available sources do not establish typical sample quantities, receipt rates, or average savings for either program.
Check WIC and your state’s formula rules
WIC may be another route to investigate if your household is eligible. USDA says state agencies competitively solicit infant-formula manufacturer bids for rebates on formula purchased with WIC benefits. Those rebates lower program costs; they are not a universal consumer coupon. State food lists determine which products participants may buy.
Rules are state-specific. For example, California’s WIC infant formula shopping guide says a participant must buy the brand, type, size, and number of cans shown in their WIC Food Balance; its authorized options include Enfamil Infant powder. Do not apply California’s list to another state. Ask your local WIC agency about eligibility, authorized products, and how to use your benefits. For the federal overview, see USDA’s infant-formula contract information.

Choose formula for your baby, not for the promotion
A free sample does not establish that a formula is medically appropriate. FDA advises caregivers to consult a healthcare provider about formula selection. A different brand may be suitable in some situations if it is the same type, but ask a clinician when uncertain—especially if your baby has specialized nutritional needs. Sample promotions compare program features, not formula quality or clinical suitability.
