What did General Mills announce for January 2025?
In its January 15, 2025 roundup, General Mills described eight new cereals and granolas. Several entries are product lines with multiple flavors, so eight product families does not mean eight individual varieties. The list below reflects the company’s launch descriptions, not independent nutrition testing.

What flavors does Cheerios Protein come in?
General Mills announced Cheerios Protein in Cinnamon and Strawberry. The company said each serving contains 8 grams of protein and that the cereal would be available through retailers nationwide later in December 2024. Its December 12, 2024 release listed suggested launch prices of $5.39 for large packages and $5.69 for family-size packages; these are historical suggested prices, not current price guidance.

Those product and price details are from General Mills’ December 12, 2024 Cheerios Protein release. The company also attributed a figure of 71% of consumers trying to eat more protein in their diets to the International Food Information Council’s 2024 Food & Health Survey. That is General Mills’ stated attribution, rather than an independently assessed survey finding here.
Which cereals did General Mills add later in 2025?
A May 28, 2025 General Mills summer lineup article announced Cheerios Protein Cookies and Crème, which the company said has 8 grams of protein per serving. The same update named Nature Valley Cereal Honey Almond and Apple Cinnamon, and Cascadian Farm No Added Sugar Cinnamon Apple Cereal.

This second announcement wave means the January eight-family list is not a complete account of every cereal announced during 2025. However, the company’s reviewed announcements do not establish one authoritative total of exactly nine distinct cereal products for the full year.
