Gate Ventures and The Blockchain Center in Abu Dhabi announced Falcon Gate Ventures, a venture fund with a stated size of $100 million, on August 19, 2024. The fund was presented as backing global Web3 innovation, particularly decentralized infrastructure and applications. That figure is the announced fund size—not a confirmed amount invested or still available.

What is Falcon Gate Ventures?

Falcon Gate Ventures is a venture-funding initiative announced by Gate Ventures and The Blockchain Center in Abu Dhabi. The partners said it would support Web3 builders and innovation across decentralized infrastructure and applications. The $100 million figure describes the fund size at launch; the announcement does not establish how much has since been deployed or remains available. Gate Ventures’ announcement and GamesBeat’s August 19, 2024 report describe the launch.

What did the fund say it would support?

Technology focus

The stated focus was global Web3 innovation, especially decentralized infrastructure and applications. The launch announcement describes intended priorities, not a record of completed investments or programs.

Target regions

The fund was described as seeking to support builders in the United States, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The announcement also cited education, research, and cross-border cooperation as parts of the initiative.

Who announced the fund?

The two partners were Gate Ventures and The Blockchain Center in Abu Dhabi. GamesBeat’s launch coverage identified Abdulla Al Dhaheri as CEO of The Blockchain Center and Kevin Yang as managing partner at Gate Ventures at the time. Yang said, “Falcon Gate Ventures marks a significant step in our mission to advance global blockchain innovation.” Those titles and the quote are reported in the context of the 2024 launch; they should not be read as confirmation of current roles or current fund activity.

What is known about its activity now?

The launch reporting establishes the announced fund size, intended focus, target regions, and stated priorities. It does not establish current fund terms, subsequent portfolio investments, deployed capital, or remaining capital. A Gate-authored page appeared with a March 28, 2026 update, but that update does not by itself confirm later deployment or current terms. Anyone assessing the fund as a potential source of financing should seek a current statement from the fund or its partners rather than treating the launch amount as money presently available.
