Yes—but only in the reported U.S. sales comparison for the second quarter of 2025. Cox Automotive data reported by TechCrunch put combined Hummer EV pickup and SUV sales at 4,508, versus 4,306 Cybertrucks. That 202-delivery difference is a dated comparison, not evidence that the Hummer EV currently outsells Tesla’s truck.
How many Hummer EVs and Cybertrucks sold in Q2 2025?

The figures are from Cox Automotive data as reported by TechCrunch on July 16, 2025. On those numbers, the combined Hummer EV line was ahead by 202 vehicles in that quarter. The comparison is not perfectly like-for-like: it groups two Hummer body styles but counts only the Cybertruck pickup.
Does that mean the Hummer EV outsells the Cybertruck now?
No current ranking can be established from the available model-level figures. General Motors reports Hummer EV pickup and SUV deliveries together, while Tesla’s Q3 2026 delivery release does not provide a standalone Cybertruck total. The Q2 2025 result should therefore be described as a quarter-specific historical lead, not an ongoing sales trend.
What do the later delivery figures show?

These figures describe GM’s Hummer EV line, not a comparison with Cybertruck sales. They are U.S. deliveries, and Tesla’s relevant Q3 disclosure uses a different scope.
How many Cybertrucks did Tesla sell in Q3 2026?
Tesla did not disclose a standalone Cybertruck number in its Q3 2026 delivery release. Instead, its worldwide table reports 8,295 deliveries for “Other Models,” a group total that cannot be treated as Cybertruck sales. It also cannot be directly compared with GM’s U.S.-only Hummer EV figure.

Sales headlines can obscure differences in what is counted. Here, the original comparison relies on third-party-reported Cox Automotive U.S. sales data for Q2 2025, and the Hummer total combines an SUV and a pickup. Later GM totals are automaker-reported U.S. deliveries, while Tesla’s Q3 2026 figure is a worldwide total for a group of models. Without matching periods, geographies, and model-level counts, those numbers do not establish which vehicle currently leads.

In the same TechCrunch report, Elon Musk was quoted as saying, “We dug our own grave with Cybertruck.” The remark is attributable to Musk through that report; it does not change what the sales figures can establish.
