The company said it would use the money to develop its tools for game developers, invest in data and analytics, and explore expansion to additional platforms. Those were plans at the time of the announcement—not confirmation that the expansions were later completed.
Who invested in Gamebeast?
GamesBeat reported on September 18, 2024, that J2 Ventures led the $3.7 million pre-seed round. The other named participants were a16z Speedrun, The Mini Fund, and Spaceport CEO Le Zhang. GamesBeat’s funding report was updated on June 18, 2025.
TechCrunch reported that Christine Keung, a J2 Ventures general partner, viewed real-time AI optimization as a direction for multiplayer games and said Gamebeast’s platform could help developers pursue it. That is an investor’s perspective, not evidence that all multiplayer games have adopted AI or that Gamebeast has delivered that capability across the industry.
What does Gamebeast make?
Gamebeast describes its product as a tooling platform for Roblox developers. Coverage of the round identified support for LiveOps—the ongoing management and updating of a live game—alongside management tools, rapid game modifications, and A/B testing. These tools are intended to help developers make and evaluate changes to their games.

The company’s funding announcement and reporting by GamesBeat describe that developer-tooling focus. The available coverage does not establish current product availability, pricing, or the platform’s present feature set.
What did Gamebeast plan to do with the funding?
Reports said the company intended to continue developing its platform, strengthen data and analytics capabilities, and expand to additional platforms. Mobidictum also described AI-driven analytics and possible defense-sector applications as areas of interest or exploration. Those accounts describe intended work; they do not verify that a broader platform launch, defense deployment, or contract followed.
At the time of the funding announcement, TechCrunch reported that Gamebeast was working with more than 40 game developers and was in talks with the U.S. military about possible use of its no-code platform. Both details are historical reporting from September 2024. They should not be read as current customer numbers or proof of a military contract. TechCrunch’s announcement-period coverage provides that context; Mobidictum’s funding report discusses the company’s stated areas of development.
