Gabby Logan is a Welsh presenter and former rhythmic gymnast who joined the BBC in 2007. In the 2025–26 season, she shares Match of the Day presenting duties with Kelly Cates and Mark Chapman. She is married to former Scotland rugby international Kenny Logan, and they have twins, Lois and Reuben. No reliable, attributable current figure establishes her net worth.

Is Gabby Logan on Match of the Day?

Yes. BBC Sport announced on 16 May 2025 that Logan, Kelly Cates and Mark Chapman would share presenting duties from the 2025–26 season. Their work spans Saturday’s flagship Match of the Day, Sunday’s Match of the Day 2 and Wednesday’s MOTD: Champions League. The arrangement is shared: it does not mean all three present every edition. BBC Sport’s announcement quotes Logan saying, “It’s really great to share it because we bring different experiences and different interests within the game.”

How old is Gabby Logan?

The Guardian reported in a 2007 profile that Logan was born in 1973. That makes her 53 on 8 October 2026 if her birthday has already passed that year; the profile does not give a day and month, so a precise birth date cannot be established from that source. The Guardian’s Q&A also reports that she was born in Leeds.

Who is Gabby Logan’s husband?

Logan is married to Kenny Logan, a former Scotland rugby international. The couple have twins, Lois and Reuben, as identified in a 2012 Guardian interview. The Guardian interview names the children; the earlier 2007 Q&A identifies Kenny as her husband and notes that they have twins.

What is Gabby Logan known for?

Logan is known for presenting major sports coverage across television and radio, including football, rugby, the Olympics and the BBC’s annual Sports Personality of the Year. Her career began in radio before she moved into television presenting, and she is also a former elite rhythmic gymnast.

From rhythmic gymnastics to broadcasting

Logan represented Wales in rhythmic gymnastics at the 1990 Commonwealth Games. A 2007 Guardian profile says she retired from the sport because of sciatica. She began presenting for Newcastle’s Metro Radio in 1992, joined Sky Sports in 1996 and moved to ITV in 1998. The Guardian describes her as the first woman to present a live terrestrial football match.

BBC career and major events

Logan joined the BBC in 2007. The BBC’s Euro 2012 media pack lists her work on Final Score, Inside Sport, the Six Nations, the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Match of the Day, The One Show and the BBC’s 2010 FIFA World Cup coverage. The BBC profile documents those roles.

BBC Sport says she has presented men’s and women’s World Cups and European Championships, the Six Nations and Olympics coverage. It also reports that she has co-hosted BBC Sports Personality of the Year since 2013. The BBC’s 2025 announcement gives further context on her experience in its football coverage.
