A February 17, 2025 report said 10:10 Games, the developer of Funko Fusion, had laid off staff after the game’s reception affected funding for planned follow-up projects. That explanation came from unnamed sources relayed through Insider Gaming and summarized by Glitched; it was not presented as an official studio statement or an independently established financial finding.
What was reported about the layoffs?
Glitched reported on February 17, 2025, that staff at 10:10 Games had been laid off because there was not enough work for the entire team. The report attributed the account to sources who spoke to Insider Gaming. It did not provide an affected headcount, identify roles or locations, or include an official statement from 10:10 Games.

According to those sources, the game’s reception meant planned follow-up projects did not secure additional funding. This is the reported explanation for the cuts—not a confirmed studio-wide financial finding that Funko Fusion was a “complete failure.”
What did the report say about employee notification?
Glitched also said employees had been encouraged to use vacation time shortly before the layoffs and that some learned they had been terminated while away. This detail is attributed to the report and does not establish how every affected employee was notified.

How was Funko Fusion received?
The game launched in September 2024, according to Glitched. Its February 17, 2025 article described Steam reviews as mixed and cited a 53 OpenCritic average. The article did not give a snapshot date or review count for that average, so the figure should be read as the number Glitched reported—not as a current score or a complete measure of sales or profitability.
The report did not provide dated, platform-specific evidence that would support a rigorous comparison between OpenCritic reviews and Steam user reviews. Neither review reception nor an aggregate score alone establishes the game’s commercial performance.

How many people were laid off?
The available report does not state a layoff count. It also does not establish which locations or roles were affected, whether 10:10 Games publicly confirmed the cuts, or the studio’s later status. Those details cannot be inferred from the report’s description of insufficient work for the whole team.

The key distinctions are attribution and scope: Glitched’s February 17, 2025 article relayed an account from unnamed sources who spoke to Insider Gaming, and it did not include a named-person quotation or an official studio response. The article quoted an unnamed source criticizing how management handled the process, but that comment is not an attributable public statement from a named representative.
