Free Slurpee Day 2024 took place on Thursday, July 11, and the offer has ended. On that date, customers could get one free small Slurpee at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores while supplies lasted. Members who scanned their 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards information that day could also receive a coupon for one more small Slurpee, redeemable through July 31, 2024.
How the 2024 free Slurpee offers worked
There were two ways to get a free Slurpee: a same-day offer for customers generally and a later coupon for eligible rewards members. The official announcements named participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores, but did not provide a complete list of locations.
| Offer | Who could use it | What to do | Size and limit | Redemption window |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Slurpee Day offer | Customers visiting participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, or Stripes stores | Visit a participating store; supplies were limited | One small Slurpee | July 11, 2024 only |
| Extra member coupon | 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards members | Scan rewards information on Slurpee Day to get a coupon | One additional small Slurpee per customer | July 12–31, 2024 |
The offer terms are described in 7-Eleven’s July 11 announcement and its June 26 announcement.
Is Free Slurpee Day still happening?
No. The 2024 in-store offer was valid only on July 11, and the additional rewards-member coupon expired after July 31, 2024. Neither offer can be claimed now.

The rewards scan was for the separate coupon for an additional free small Slurpee. The releases say to scan rewards information, but do not specify an app screen or other enrollment steps.
Could you get a free Slurpee at Speedway?
Yes, participating Speedway stores were among the locations named for the July 11 offer. Participating Stripes stores were named as well. Why was the date July 11?
July 11 echoes 7-Eleven’s name and marks the retailer’s birthday. Seven & i Holdings says the company began its free Slurpee-on-7/11 tradition in 2002, when 7-Eleven turned 75, in its October 2024 investor presentation. The 2024 announcement marked the company’s 97th birthday.
The 2024 celebration also connected the birthday promotion to community fundraising. 7-Eleven announced a special-edition cup designed by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals National Champion Nolan, along with in-store fundraising at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes locations. That campaign was part of the occasion, not a condition for receiving the free Slurpee.
