At TOKEN2049 Dubai on April 30–May 1, 2025, MEXC celebrated its seventh anniversary and announced a five-year, $300 million Ecosystem Development Fund. MEXC Ventures said the initiative would support public chains, stablecoins, wallets and media platforms. The announcement describes planned investment and cooperation; it does not establish how much has been deployed or whether projects can apply today.
What MEXC announced
MEXC Ventures announced the $300 million fund on April 30, 2025, describing it as a five-year initiative. The company presented the fund as a way to support development across the crypto ecosystem beyond exchange services. These are the announced amount and intended horizon, not confirmation that the full amount has been committed or distributed. MEXC’s announcement described the initiative at TOKEN2049 Dubai.
What the fund says it will support
MEXC named four focus areas: public chains, stablecoins, wallets and media platforms. Its announcement also described support in terms of investment and operational cooperation, but did not provide a breakdown of the $300 million by sector, specific projects, or individual commitments.
- Public chains: blockchain networks and their ecosystems.
- Stablecoins: digital assets designed to maintain a stable value.
- Wallets: tools used to manage and interact with crypto assets.
- Media platforms: media businesses serving the crypto ecosystem.
Why MEXC framed it as an ecosystem shift
MEXC positioned the fund as part of a broader ambition to expand beyond operating a trading venue. In the company’s May 1, 2025 announcement, Chief Operating Officer Tracy Jin said the goal was to transition “from a trading venue to an ecosystem platform” serving crypto-industry participants. That is MEXC’s stated strategy, not evidence that the transformation has been completed.

What is known—and not known—about the anniversary event
TOKEN2049 Dubai took place April 30–May 1, 2025, according to the event’s official report. MEXC’s recap says it marked its seventh anniversary there and held side events and anniversary activities. The recap mentions seven limited-edition merchandise items but does not name them or identify a retail channel.
MEXC’s recap also listed company figures including more than 3,000 crypto assets, over 2.25 million Twitter followers, approximately 193,000 Telegram members, more than 2,293 airdrop events and over $136 million in rewards. These are figures reported by MEXC in its 2025 recap, not independently verified measures.

Can projects apply, and has the fund been deployed?
The 2025 announcements do not specify an application process, eligibility requirements, current investment terms, or the amount already deployed. They therefore do not establish that applications are open or that the fund remains available on the originally announced terms. A prospective partner should look for a current statement from MEXC Ventures before treating the announcement as an active funding opportunity.
