Fizz’s early Black Friday Pixel 9 offer cut the price of an 80GB mobile plan, not the phone. In November 2024, MobileSyrup reported that the $40-per-month plan fell to $8 per month when paired with a Pixel 9 purchase; Fizz listed the phone at $1,290. Those are historical offer prices, not current pricing or proof the promotion is still available. Source: MobileSyrup
What the Pixel 9 offer included
MobileSyrup reported an 80% discount on Fizz’s $40-per-month, 80GB plan, reducing the monthly plan charge to $8. The Pixel 9 itself was not discounted by Fizz: its listed price was $1,290. The report said that was nearly $200 more than buying the phone from Google at the time. MobileSyrup’s November 2024 report
| Item | Reported November 2024 amount |
|---|---|
| Fizz plan | $8 per month for 80GB, after an 80% reduction from $40 per month |
| Pixel 9 at Fizz | $1,290; the handset was not discounted in the reported offer |
| Financed phone payment | $53.75 per month over two years |
| Phone payment plus discounted plan | $61.75 per month, based on the reported $53.75 phone payment and $8 plan charge |
The combined monthly figure is not the full cost of the phone and service over time: it reflects the reported monthly financing payment and plan price. The report does not establish the offer’s full eligibility rules or exact start and end dates, so it cannot confirm which customers qualified. MobileSyrup
How to judge the deal as a buyer
Compare the total cost of the handset and service rather than treating a lower plan bill as a phone discount. For this offer, the plan’s savings depended on keeping the qualifying plan and buying the phone at Fizz’s listed price.

What Fizz’s phone-linked plan discounts mean now
Fizz’s general discount rules describe selected phones marked with a purple stamp that can qualify for a plan discount for 24 months. The discount percentage applies to the selected plan and follows plan changes, but it is lost if the subscriber cancels the plan. Fizz says a discount cannot be transferred or combined with an existing plan discount. Fizz’s phone-discount FAQ
For an existing plan, Fizz says the discount starts with the next payment cycle; for a new plan, it starts when the SIM is activated. These are Fizz’s current general mechanics, not confirmation of every term or eligibility condition for the specific 2024 Pixel 9 offer. Fizz’s FAQ

Don’t confuse it with Fizz’s later Black Friday offer
Fizz’s later official November 2024 Black Friday announcement described a separate phone-linked promotion: 80GB for $8 per month with a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. The same announcement listed an 80GB plan for $40 per month without a phone purchase. That was a different offer from the early Pixel 9 coverage. Fizz Community Hub announcement

Fizz’s August 2024 announcement had described the broader phone-linked discount program as up to 60% off a selected mobile plan for 24 months when buying a phone with a purple stamp. That general program statement does not establish the precise terms of the Pixel 9 promotion. Fizz announcement
