Sim. A última loja física da Fnac no Brasil fechou em 15 de outubro de 2018, no Shopping Flamboyant, em Goiânia. Na mesma semana, o site brasileiro deixou de aceitar compras e informou o encerramento das atividades. A Fnac Darty, porém, havia vendido a operação brasileira à Livraria Cultura em 2017 — a venda e o fechamento foram acontecimentos distintos.
Quando a Fnac saiu do Brasil?
A saída aconteceu em duas etapas. Em 19 de julho de 2017, a Fnac Darty anunciou um acordo para vender sua subsidiária brasileira à Livraria Cultura. As lojas e o comércio eletrônico encerraram as atividades no ano seguinte, em 2018.

Foi a unidade do Shopping Flamboyant, em Goiânia, fechada em 15 de outubro de 2018. Ela não deve ser confundida com a loja da Avenida Paulista: essa unidade de São Paulo já havia fechado em setembro, antes de Goiânia se tornar a última loja em funcionamento.
O que aconteceu com o site Fnac Brasil?
Em outubro de 2018, o site parou de aceitar compras e publicou um aviso de encerramento que orientava clientes à Livraria Cultura. Notícias da época também mencionaram acesso para acompanhar pedidos pendentes. Isso descreve o que foi informado naquele momento; não comprova que exista hoje um canal ativo de pedidos ou suporte da Fnac Brasil.

Por que a Fnac deixou o mercado brasileiro?
Ao anunciar a venda, a Fnac Darty disse que procurava um parceiro para dar à operação brasileira “critical size” — escala crítica. A empresa afirmou que o processo de busca começara no fim de 2016. No mesmo comunicado, informou que licenciaria a marca Fnac por dois anos à nova entidade e faria uma recapitalização. O relatório anual de 2017 também registra a autorização de uso da marca por dois anos, o que ajuda a explicar sua presença durante a transição após a venda: demonstrações financeiras da Fnac Darty de 2017.
Em 2018, a Livraria Cultura descreveu seus fechamentos como parte de um planejamento para manter lojas com bom desempenho e crescer no comércio eletrônico, conforme a reportagem da Folha de S.Paulo. Essa era a explicação da Cultura para sua política de lojas; não é uma declaração da Fnac Darty sobre a causa específica do fechamento final da Fnac no Brasil.
