There is no verified, like-for-like ranking of all 20 Premier League clubs by average 2025/26 ticket price in the available figures. The published numbers measure different things—such as the cheapest and most expensive price points, season-ticket rates, or spending that includes hospitality—so putting them into one “cheapest to most expensive” table would be misleading.
For a useful comparison, start with the measure behind each number. Ticket-Compare.com’s estimates offer league-wide price-point averages; UEFA-derived figures reported by BBC Sport describe spending at six clubs across competitions; and club tariffs show how prices vary by match and seat.
What does “average Premier League ticket price” mean?
It can refer to several different amounts, and the ranking can change depending on which one you mean:
- Face-value match ticket: the club’s listed price for a seat at a specific fixture, before resale markups.
- Season-ticket price: the cost of a package covering multiple matches. Dividing it by the number of included league games gives a per-match figure, but not necessarily the cost of a ticket bought individually.
- Average price paid: an average across actual purchases. It may depend on which seats, fixtures, concessions and sales are included.
- Revenue per attendee: a broader measure that can include hospitality and competitions beyond the Premier League.
Prices also vary with opponent category, seat location and buyer eligibility. A club’s cheapest listed seat and its top-priced seat are endpoints, not an average of what supporters pay.

League-wide ticket price estimates for 2025/26
Ticket-Compare.com reported the following averages for the 2025/26 season. It describes them as averages of club-stated price points based on club figures and expert estimates—not a weighted average of the amounts paid by all attendees.
| Measure | Reported average | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| Cheapest match-ticket price | £39.10 | Average of reported cheapest match-ticket price points |
| Most expensive match-ticket price | £80.30 | Average of reported most expensive match-ticket price points |
| Cheapest season-ticket option, per match | £31.76 | Average of the cheapest season-ticket options expressed per match |
| Most expensive season-ticket option, per match | £63.77 | Average of the most expensive season-ticket options expressed per match |
These figures answer “How much is a Premier League ticket?” only in a qualified sense: they summarize reported low and high price points, not the typical price paid by a randomly selected fan. They also do not identify which club has the cheapest or most expensive average ticket. Ticket-Compare.com’s August 6, 2025 release sets out the estimates.
Why the reported six-club average is not a league ticket ranking
BBC Sport reported on February 26, 2026 that fans of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham paid an average of £74 per ticket across 2025. Arsenal was reported at £89 per fan per match. Those figures come from UEFA’s European club finance and investment landscape report, but the measure includes domestic and European competitions, general admission and hospitality. It is neither a Premier League-only 2025/26 face-value tariff nor a comparison of all 20 clubs.
Thomas Concannon, Premier League network manager for the Football Supporters’ Association, said: “There is a big problem with ticket prices, and these figures are definitely not fair for fans,” BBC Sport reported.

What club prices reveal—and what they do not
Fixture and seat category can shift the price
Manchester City’s official 2025/26 adult Cityzens Matchday Member general-admission prices ranged from £30 to £60. The club set Category C at £30–£50, Category B at £35–£55 and Category A at £40–£60, with the amount varying by seat location. Junior and eligible concession tickets had separate price ranges. This is a concrete example of why a single figure needs a defined fixture category, seat area and eligibility rule; it is not an average price for all City supporters. Manchester City published the tariff on June 13, 2025.
A low season-ticket entry price can coexist with expensive seats
West Ham United’s supporter-board minutes dated February 26, 2026 state that its cheapest adult season ticket cost £345, which the club described as 38% below the cited league average cheapest adult season-ticket price of £554. The minutes also say West Ham’s highest general-sale season-ticket price ranked fourth highest, while applying to very few tickets. The comparison shows why “cheapest club” and “most expensive club” depend on whether the question concerns an entry-level seat or the high end of the tariff. The club’s minutes provide those figures.
Selected club ranges are not average prices
A September 7, 2025 compilation by The Esk lists selected season-ticket and match-ticket endpoints. It is not a complete 20-club table, and its figures should not be mistaken for average prices.
| Club | Season-ticket range listed | Match-ticket range listed |
|---|---|---|
| Arsenal | £921.50–£1,726 | £31.50–£141 |
| Chelsea | £880–£1,095 | Not stated in the compilation |
| Fulham | £486–£3,084 | Not stated in the compilation |
| Leeds United | £495–£870 | £47–£79 |
| Liverpool | £713–£904 | £53–£82 |
| Manchester City | £425–£1,600 | $40–$81, as stated by the source |
| Manchester United | £608–£1,121 | £32–£97 |
| West Ham United | £345–£1,720 | Not stated in the compilation |
“Not stated” means the compilation does not give a match-ticket range for that club; it does not mean tickets were unavailable. The source presents selected clubs and states Manchester City’s match-ticket values in US dollars, so those figures have not been converted or combined with the sterling ranges. The Esk’s September 7, 2025 compilation provides the listed endpoints.

Can the clubs be ranked from cheapest to most expensive?
Not reliably from these figures. A defensible ranking would need the same price basis for every club—such as adult general-admission face value for a specified fixture category and seat area—plus consistent treatment of membership eligibility and season-ticket coverage. It would also need to distinguish a minimum, maximum and calculated average, and exclude resale and hospitality if the intended comparison is ordinary club-sale tickets.
A February 28, 2026 video description attributed selected 2025/26 average prices to Arsenal (£88.65), Fulham (£80.50), Tottenham (£73.50), West Ham (£72.50), Aston Villa (£71.68), Manchester City (£45), Bournemouth (£43), Burnley (£42.50) and Sunderland (£41). It does not explain its calculation method or provide values for every club. These figures therefore cannot establish a full, comparable league table or settle which club has the cheapest or most expensive average ticket. The English Broadcasting Company video description lists the selected values.
What supporters should check before budgeting
For a realistic estimate of a particular match, use the club’s current official ticket information and check the conditions attached to the listed price:
- Is the figure for an individual match or a season ticket?
- Does it apply to the fixture category and seat location you want?
- Is it an adult general-admission price, or a concession, junior or hospitality price?
- Must you pay for membership or meet another eligibility requirement to buy at that price?
- Is the listing an official club sale or a resale offer?
For season tickets, compare the total cost with the number and type of matches included; do not assume a per-match division is comparable if packages cover different competitions or match counts. Ticket prices and availability can change, so check the club’s tariff for the relevant season and fixture before relying on an older figure.
What the 2025/26 numbers support
The available sources show that Premier League ticket prices vary substantially by seat, fixture and purchase type. They support reported league-wide averages for selected price points and several club-specific examples, but not a verified cheapest-to-most-expensive ranking of all 20 clubs by average face-value ticket price. Ticket-Compare.com CEO Liran Froind said: “Some fans, particularly those who attend only a handful of games via memberships, are more profitable than long-term season ticket holders,” in the company’s August 6, 2025 release.
