The headline’s “20,000x ROI” was an unsupported promotional claim, not a substantiated forecast. The TechBullion article behind it was published on September 21, 2024, identified itself as a company-submitted announcement, and named no analysts or calculations behind that return figure. Its Ethereum and Phantom-wallet items are also historical; BlockDAG’s testnet milestones have since moved on, according to the project’s own updates.
What did the “20,000x ROI” claim actually mean?
The September 21, 2024 TechBullion article asked, “Is This The Road To 20,000x ROI?” and attributed the projection to unnamed “analysts.” It did not identify those analysts or provide a model, assumptions, or independent evidence supporting the estimate. A question in a promotional headline is not evidence that an investment can deliver that return.
The same article stated that BlockDAG had raised $73.7 million in its presale and that its coin cost $0.0178. Those are claims reported by TechBullion at the time, not independently confirmed totals or current price information. They should not be used as present-day inputs for an investment decision.
Because the article disclosed no method for estimating the projected return, a reader cannot assess what token price, timeframe, supply, liquidity, or other assumptions would be required to reach it. The number is not a reliable forecast or guarantee. Treat it as promotional copy, not as a basis for committing money.

How current are the Ethereum and Phantom claims?
Ethereum: a 2024 funding-rate interpretation, not a verified current signal
The 2024 article said Ethereum’s funding rate had reached a low for that year and interpreted the claim as bearish. It did not cite a primary data source for the funding-rate figure. That statement should therefore be understood as the article’s historical assertion, not as an independently verified market fact or a description of Ethereum’s market conditions today.
There is a separate, more recent Ethereum development: the Ethereum Foundation’s September 28, 2026 announcement scheduled the Glamsterdam upgrade for Sepolia on October 6, 2026 at 13:53:36 UTC. The announcement highlighted enshrined proposer-builder separation (ePBS) and block-level access lists (BALs). It did not set a mainnet activation date: “Hoodi and mainnet activation dates have not yet been decided.” Ethereum.org’s Glamsterdam overview, last updated August 6, 2026, described mainnet as expected in Q4 2026, but did not give a confirmed date. A Sepolia schedule is not a mainnet launch date.

The Foundation said node operators need compatible execution and consensus clients for the Sepolia upgrade. It said ordinary Ethereum mainnet users and ETH holders need take no action for this Sepolia announcement; that is not a statement that node operators can ignore client compatibility.
Phantom: a reported username rollout, with present-day status unverified
The “Solana Wallet Gets Upgrade” portion referred to Phantom’s optional custom usernames, reportedly rolling out first to longtime users. That feature description comes from the 2024 article. Its current availability and functionality are not established by the information available here, so it should not be treated as a current Phantom feature guide.

What happened to BlockDAG’s “much-awaited testnet”?
The testnet language in the headline describes the project’s stage as presented in September 2024, not its status now. BlockDAG’s project-maintained roadmap marks Primordial Testnet complete in 2025 and Incarnation Testnet complete on February 2, 2026. In a keynote released September 14, 2026, BlockDAG said its mainnet was live and described transactions, mining, smart contracts, and applications as operating.
Those are BlockDAG’s own roadmap and keynote statements. They establish what the project reports about its milestones; by themselves, they do not independently verify network performance, adoption, functionality, or token value. A reported move from testnet to mainnet does not validate the earlier 20,000x projection.

What does Solana DvP have to do with the old wallet headline?
Solana DvP is a separate development, not an update to Phantom’s reported username feature. In an October 6, 2026 announcement, the Solana Foundation described DvP as an open-source escrow program and API intended for financial institutions’ delivery-versus-payment settlement. The Foundation said it was released under the MIT license and described atomic settlement, isolated escrow, and deadlines. That announcement is about settlement software for institutions; it does not confirm the current status of Phantom usernames.
How should a personal-finance reader assess this headline?
- Separate a promotional prediction from evidence. The article names no analysts or method for its 20,000x figure, so the figure cannot be evaluated as a supported estimate.
- Check dates and rollout stages. The article dates from September 2024; later Ethereum, Solana, and BlockDAG announcements concern different developments and stages.
- Distinguish project statements from independent verification. BlockDAG’s roadmap and keynote report the project’s own milestones; they do not establish investment returns.
- Do not treat old prices or fundraising claims as current facts. The $0.0178 coin price and $73.7 million presale amount were figures stated by TechBullion in 2024, not verified current values.
For a personal-finance decision, the key conclusion is not whether a dramatic return is imaginable, but whether it is supported by transparent assumptions and evidence. This article’s 20,000x claim supplies neither.
