Casa Del Sol means “house of the sun.” In its 2021 launch announcement, the company described the tequila as a luxury sipping brand inspired by golden hour and Mayahuel, whom the release calls the Aztec goddess of agave. The brand said its tequila was made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in Jalisco; that is a company claim, not an independent verification. Who makes Casa Del Sol?
Eva Longoria is identified as a co-founder. The 2021 launch release also named Alejandra Pelayo as head of production and Mariana Padilla as Artesana Tequilera. In a Forbes interview, Longoria connected her interest in the brand to its “authentic Mexican roots” and the people behind the product. These descriptions reflect the company’s launch material and Longoria’s interview, rather than independent production verification.
Where is Casa Del Sol available?
In an announcement dated August 19, 2024, Casa Del Sol said Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits would distribute the brand across 41 U.S. markets and Canada. The same announcement said all four expressions were available in 45 markets across the United States, Mexico, Canada and France at that time. These company-reported distribution figures are historical; they are not a live stock locator or confirmation that a particular bottle can be purchased in a given location today. What did the bottles cost at launch?
The 2021 launch announcement listed suggested retail prices of $69.99 for Reposado and $99.99 for Añejo. Those are launch-era suggested prices, not current prices; the release did not state a comparable Blanco price.
