Eric Roberts’s net worth is not publicly verified. Celebrity Net Worth publishes an estimate of $4 million, but it does not show a calculation based on his current assets and debts. That figure should be treated as an online estimate—not as a confirmed account of his finances.

What is Eric Roberts’s net worth?

There is no reliable, publicly documented figure for Roberts’s current net worth in the sources reviewed. Celebrity Net Worth lists $4 million, but the page does not disclose an asset schedule, liabilities, tax records, or contract details that would support a personal balance-sheet calculation.

A separate article updated August 11, 2026, says that online profiles commonly repeat estimates in the $4 million to $8 million range and likewise concludes that no current figure is verified. That is a secondary assessment, not access to Roberts’s financial records. Neither figure can be confirmed from the evidence available.

How to interpret the $4 million estimate

The $4 million amount is a third-party estimate published by Celebrity Net Worth, not a verified disclosure from Roberts. A net-worth figure requires more than reported earnings: it depends on assets, debts, taxes, spending, and other financial obligations. The page does not explain how it accounts for those factors, so the estimate cannot establish what Roberts currently owns or owes.

There is no sound basis for averaging online estimates or selecting a number from the range as more accurate. No regulator, court, audited filing, or disclosed personal financial statement in the reviewed sources establishes his wealth.

What Roberts has said about money and work

In an interview published by the Los Angeles Times on September 17, 2024, Roberts discussed lower pay and fewer opportunities. He said, “They now give you no time to rehearse and they pay you less,” describing his view of changing work conditions in the industry.

The same article quoted a passage from his memoir about financial strain: “We are often overdrawn, broke and scared. I know people who were in the cast of ‘Titanic’ [who] can’t pay their rent,” This is context from a memoir passage reported in 2024, not a current account statement. It does not prove that Roberts is insolvent or establish any specific present-day net worth.

Do his acting credits show how wealthy he is?

No. The Los Angeles Times reported that Roberts’s memoir cited 750 IMDb credits and that the count had reached nearly 850 by the time the paper interviewed him in August 2024. Those are dated credit counts, not earnings figures. A credit alone does not show what he was paid, what he retained, or what expenses and obligations he has.

Roberts is an American actor born in Biloxi, Mississippi, on April 18, 1956, according to Biography.com. The Los Angeles Times highlighted his work in Star 80 and Runaway Train; neither career recognition nor the scale of his filmography supplies the missing financial information. His relatives’ wealth is also not evidence of his own finances.

Where to read Roberts’s own account

Roberts’s memoir, Runaway Train: Or, the Story of My Life So Far, written with Sam Kashner, was published by St. Martin’s Press on September 17, 2024. Macmillan’s publisher listing describes it as covering his career, addiction, and family history and provides format and retailer information. The memoir offers first-person context, but it is not a current financial statement and does not verify a net-worth figure.
