DailyEnergi reported that Amazon cut the white Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core to $111.74 from $149.99 ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, but the reported offer ended October 7, 2026. As of October 8, the current Amazon price and availability have not been verified, so $111.74 should be treated as an expired deal report—not a live price.
What was the reported price cut?
In an October 2, 2026 report, DailyEnergi said Amazon had reduced the white Elite Series 2 Core from $149.99 to $111.74 ahead of Prime Big Deal Days and that the offer would end October 7. The report is the source for those prices and dates; the amount was not independently confirmed against an Amazon listing. The reported offer window has passed, and the current listing price is unverified.
What does the Core controller include?
Xbox lists the white Core package as including the controller, a thumbstick adjustment tool, and a USB-C cable. It does not include the full Series 2 package’s charging dock, carrying case, four paddles, alternate thumbsticks, or additional D-pad. Xbox also sells a separate Complete Component Pack for Core owners seeking additional components.
The Core is built around adjustable-tension thumbsticks, shorter hair trigger locks, a wrap-around rubberized grip, button mapping, and saved profiles. Those features are most relevant if you want to tune stick resistance or trigger travel, or configure controls for different games.

Check compatibility and battery expectations
Xbox says the controller works with Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Windows PC, and selected mobile devices. Connection options include Xbox Wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C, subject to device and operating-system requirements. Check Xbox’s product page and compatibility notes for your particular setup.
Xbox advertises an internal rechargeable battery offering up to 40 hours per charge. The company qualifies that figure: actual battery life varies with usage and other factors.
