The Mobile Shop’s reported 2025 Early Black Friday sale offered up to 200,000 PC Optimum points on select phone purchases. At The Mobile Shop’s stated rate of 10,000 points per $10 in rewards, that maximum represented $200 in eligible rewards—not $200 in cash. The promotion is historical: the available sources do not confirm that it remains available in October 2026 or that a 2026 replacement has been announced.
What the 2025 Black Friday promotion offered
MobileSyrup reported on November 20, 2025, and updated its coverage on November 25, that The Mobile Shop’s Early Black Friday promotion awarded up to 200,000 PC Optimum points with select phone purchases. The report named Samsung Galaxy S25 models with Rogers or Bell, an iPhone 16 offer, a Galaxy S25 Ultra offer, and a smaller points offer for the Galaxy S25 FE. It also listed bring-your-own-phone plan examples. These were examples from that dated campaign, not confirmation of offers available now. MobileSyrup’s November 2025 report has the original examples.
The Mobile Shop’s Black Friday campaign page corroborates the campaign context and includes the Galaxy S25 FE, but the accessible information does not establish the campaign’s complete terms or exact dates. “Up to” is important: 200,000 points applied to select purchases, not every phone purchase.
How much are 200,000 PC Optimum points worth?
The Mobile Shop states that “10,000 PC Optimum™ points are worth $10 in rewards.” On that conversion, 200,000 points correspond to $200 in stated rewards value. The Mobile Shop’s PC Optimum redemption information makes clear that points are not cash. Redemption is limited to eligible uses and is subject to carrier and program terms; eligible devices, carriers, and redemption amounts can vary.

The available information does not establish the 2025 promotion’s exact points-posting schedule, full eligibility rules, or exclusions. Treat the $200 figure as the stated rewards conversion, not as a guaranteed cash rebate or a reduction in the phone’s purchase price.
What to check before comparing a new phone-and-points deal
The 2025 report does not provide enough verified terms to calculate the promotion’s full two-year cost or compare it fairly with other offers. If The Mobile Shop or another retailer announces a successor promotion, assess the whole commitment rather than valuing the points alone:

A standalone phone purchase is a different offer
The Samsung Galaxy S25 was among the products named in the 2025 coverage. Buying that handset as a standalone retail phone, including from another retailer, does not by itself qualify for The Mobile Shop’s historical carrier activation promotion. The points offer was tied to select purchases described in the campaign report, not to ownership of the phone alone.
