No. The deadline to claim a refund from the FTC’s Fortnite settlement was July 9, 2025, and the Federal Trade Commission says it is no longer accepting claims. The FTC has sent an initial round of payments and said it expected to review later claims for possible additional payments in 2026, but it has not given a definite date for that round.
Can you still claim part of the Fortnite settlement?
No. The FTC’s final deadline was July 9, 2025. Its Fortnite Refunds page says the agency is no longer accepting claims, so there is no current application route.

The deadline changed over time: the FTC first set January 17, 2024, extended it to February 29, 2024, and later reopened claims with a final deadline of July 9, 2025. The earlier dates are historical; the July 9, 2025 date was the last opportunity to file.
Who the refund program covered
The FTC’s program covered specific unwanted-purchase and account-lockout situations within defined periods. Meeting one of these descriptions did not by itself guarantee approval.

What has happened to payments?
In June 2025, the FTC sent 969,173 payments totaling more than $126 million to people with valid claims filed by February 14, 2025. The agency said it expected additional payments in 2026 after reviewing and validating claims submitted later. The FTC page does not give a definite date for those payments or a final total.

The $245 million figure is the settlement amount Epic Games agreed to pay for consumer refunds; it is not the amount each claimant receives. The FTC says an approved payment depends on several factors, including how many people file claims. It does not state a fixed individual award.
Claims filed by February 14, 2025, were included in the June payment round if valid. Claims filed later were to be reviewed and validated for possible additional payments. Neither filing period guarantees approval or establishes when a payment will arrive.

Watch for Fortnite refund scams
Use the FTC’s official refund page for program information. The FTC warns: “The FTC will never demand money, make threats, tell you to transfer money, or promise you a prize.” Do not pay a fee or transfer money to someone claiming they can secure a settlement payment.

Epic agreed to pay $245 million to settle FTC allegations about practices that led to unwanted Fortnite purchases. That settlement funded consumer refunds. It is separate from the FTC’s separate $275 million penalty concerning children’s privacy; that penalty was not part of the refund fund for claimants.
