Notable Capital, Hyperwise Ventures, and SentinelOne’s S Ventures also participated. Echo said the round followed its $15 million seed financing by four months and brought its disclosed funding to $50 million.
Who led Echo’s Series A?
N47 led the financing. Notable Capital, Hyperwise Ventures, and SentinelOne’s S Ventures participated, according to Echo’s December 16, 2025 announcement.
How much has Echo raised?
Echo reported $35 million in Series A funding and said it had raised a $15 million seed round four months earlier. The company described the two rounds as $50 million in total funding. These figures are from the company’s announcement; they are not an independently audited financing total.
What does Echo do?
Echo makes hardened base images for containers used to build cloud applications. A container image packages an application with the operating-system components and other dependencies it needs to run. Echo says it builds its images from scratch with essential components, then uses AI agents to track emerging vulnerabilities, identify affected images, seek or develop fixes, and prepare pull requests for human review. These are company-described product capabilities, not independently validated performance findings.
#1 Best Overall
SecurityWeek’s account describes Echo’s images as drop-in replacements for standard Docker images that can be adopted by changing a line in a Dockerfile. That may simplify switching, but the cited coverage does not establish compatibility or migration effort for every application or environment.
What customers and product scale did Echo report?
Echo’s release named Varonis, EDB, and UiPath as customers. At the time of the announcement, the company said its 35-person team maintained more than 600 secure images. Those customer examples, staffing and image-count figures are dated company statements; they do not establish current deployments, present-day staffing, or independent security validation.
Rank #2
Calcalist CTech also named Vectra AI and Port as customers and listed Wiz, Orca, Aqua, Mend, and Anchor as ecosystem partners. These are details reported by CTech, distinct from the customer examples in Echo’s release; partner status alone does not establish a customer relationship or endorsement.
What the funding announcement does—and does not—establish
The financing is a business funding announcement, not a consumer product launch. It documents the amount Echo said it raised and describes the company’s approach to container-image security. It does not by itself verify the product’s vulnerability-reduction claims, demonstrate comparative performance, or show that customers will avoid breaches.
Rank #3
Echo’s CEO Eilon Elhadad told SecurityWeek that customers see their vulnerability count drop to zero when moving to Echo images. That is a company claim reported by the outlet, not a guarantee of zero risk: vulnerability counts depend on what is measured, the application and its dependencies, and how images are maintained and deployed. Echo’s release also attributed broad claims about the prevalence of container vulnerabilities to company executives; those should not be treated as established industry-wide statistics on the evidence cited here.
Echo’s pricing was not publicly listed in VentureBeat’s December 16, 2025 coverage, which said the company described pricing as based on image consumption. This is not a current verified quote, and no specific price is established in the cited coverage.
Rank #4
What to watch when assessing the business
The round signals investor backing for Echo’s effort to sell container security software to enterprises, but it does not settle whether its approach fits a particular company’s needs. A buyer evaluating products in this category would need to examine supported images, vulnerability-remediation workflows, compatibility and migration effort, provenance and hardening controls, integration with existing security tools, and pricing basis. The cited sources provide no comparative testing that would support ranking Echo against alternatives.
Funding and product details above are anchored to reports published on December 16, 2025. Financing, staffing, customer relationships, pricing, and partner arrangements may have changed since then.
