Some baked goods sold at Dunkin’ were included in a 2025 recall by manufacturer FGF Brands over possible Listeria contamination. The recall was reported to cover more than 2 million baked goods and 60 products; it did not cover every Dunkin’ donut or baked item. The available reporting does not identify the exact affected products or establish the recall’s current status, so check the specific FDA or FGF notice before deciding whether a package is included.

What the 2025 recall covered

Axios reported that FGF Brands began the recall on January 7, 2025, and that it involved 60 products and more than 2 million baked goods. Axios also reported that the FDA classified it as Class II on February 5, 2025. These figures and dates come from secondary reporting, not a verified product-specific FDA or FGF notice. Axios’s February 10, 2025 report said some recalled products were sold at Dunkin’.

This was a manufacturer recall affecting certain products, not a recall of Dunkin’s entire menu. The sources available here do not confirm particular donut names, package sizes, UPCs, lot codes, dates, or distribution locations. Without those identifiers, it is not possible to say whether a specific baked good is included.

How to check whether a product is included

Use the product-specific recall notice, rather than the brand name alone. FDA consumer guidance says recall notices may list a product’s name, package size, UPC, lot or date codes, and distribution information. Compare the details on your package with every applicable identifier in the notice. FDA’s food recall guidance explains what information to look for.

  1. Find the specific FGF Brands recall notice through the FDA recalls, market withdrawals, and safety alerts listings.
  2. Compare the notice’s product name, size, UPC, lot or date codes, and distribution details with the item you have. Do not assume a product is included—or excluded—based only on its being sold at Dunkin’.
  3. Follow the instructions in that notice if the details match. FDA advises consumers not to give recalled food to other people, food banks, or pets.

The sources cited here do not establish the recall’s current disposition. FDA’s listings can indicate whether a recall is terminated; FDA explains that termination means reasonable efforts to remove or correct the affected product and disposition of the product have been completed. Check the specific entry for its latest status instead of treating the 2025 reports as a current status update.

What to do if you have a potentially affected item

Do not eat a product that matches the recall notice. Follow that notice’s disposal or other instructions, and clean and sanitize surfaces that contacted the food, as FDA recommends in its general recall guidance. Do not pass the item along to someone else or donate it.

The reported hazard was possible Listeria contamination. FDA guidance says Listeria can cause serious or fatal infection in young children, older or frail people, and people with weakened immune systems; infection during pregnancy can lead to miscarriage or stillbirth. These are general health risks, not evidence that this particular recall caused illness. The sources cited here do not establish a recall-specific illness count.

Where to ask a product question

Dunkin’ Brands lists consumer care at 800-859-5339 and [email protected] on its contact page. This is general brand contact information, not a confirmed recall hotline. For identifying codes and current recall instructions, use the specific FDA or FGF notice.
