John Lewis gives 27 November 2026 as Black Friday. Its guide says expected deal activity starts on 29 October and runs through Cyber Monday, 30 November. The retailer says departments may join the sale at different times, so its expected campaign window does not mean every department or product will have a discount throughout it.

John Lewis also refers to discounts of “up to 70% off” in the context of offers it has made in the past. That historical statement is not a forecast or guarantee of 2026 savings.
Which departments could have offers?
John Lewis says it expects offers across technology, kitchen appliances, white goods, accessories, clothing and homeware. This is the retailer’s expectation, not confirmation that every department or any specific product will be discounted. Its category results also show a broad assortment, including phones, televisions, appliances, fabrics and homeware, but a category appearance alone does not verify a live offer.

How to check whether an offer is worth it
Before buying, compare the exact item and its terms rather than relying on a headline saving or category label:
- Match the model and specification. Check the model name, generation, size, capacity and included accessories against the item you intend to buy.
- Check the live price and saving. Confirm the current product-page price and the stated previous price; do not assume a search result’s saving label is still applicable.
- Read promotion conditions. Check the expiry date, any promo code, membership requirement and eligibility rules.
- Confirm stock and fulfilment. Verify availability for delivery or collection in your area and any delivery charge shown at checkout.
- Review cover and returns. Read the product page and applicable policy for the included guarantee or warranty, and check the current returns terms.
John Lewis delivery and price-promise terms
John Lewis’s guide describes free delivery on orders over £50, free Click & Collect on orders over £30, extended returns, warranties and Ways2Pay. It also describes its Never Knowingly Undersold price promise as matching prices at 25 leading retailers and refunding the difference if a lower price is found with them within seven days. These are descriptions in the retailer’s guide, not a substitute for checking current eligibility, exclusions and terms on the relevant policy pages before relying on them.
