Daniel Tosh’s Lake Tahoe estate sold for $10.75 million on January 2, 2026, according to Compass. The $11.9 million figure was its 2025 asking price, not its final sale price. The gated Tahoe City property was marketed as a 1.6-acre compound with three residences, 93 feet of shoreline and a backyard recreation setup Tosh jokingly described as including ski runs and a chairlift.
Did Daniel Tosh sell his Lake Tahoe mansion?
Yes. Compass records the property at 1250–1254 West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City as sold on January 2, 2026, for $10.75 million. Its listing history shows an asking price of $11.9 million in 2025. The estate is no longer listed as available.
The difference between the ask and recorded sale price is $1.15 million. That is the gap between this property’s advertised price and its recorded transaction price; it does not, by itself, establish the home’s value relative to the broader Lake Tahoe market.
What was included in the estate?
Contemporaneous listing coverage described a gated compound on Lake Tahoe’s west shore, on about 1.6 acres with approximately 93 feet of shoreline. The property had three separate residences and seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms in total, according to The Sacramento Bee and Compass’s property record.

Three separate residences
Reports described an upper four-bedroom house, a middle house dating to 1916, and a lakeside cabin converted from a former storage building. A funicular connected the upper and middle homes. These are listing and news-report descriptions, not details independently verified here.
Lakefront and recreation features
Listing coverage also mentioned a sauna, billiards room, hot tub and small sandy area at the lakefront. Kristina Bergstrand, the Compass listing agent, called the property “the quintessential Lake Tahoe,” as quoted by The Sacramento Bee.

Tosh’s description of the backyard was: “The home comes with one green run, two blue and one black diamond — and a chairlift.” The line was a humorous characterization of the property’s recreation setup, not a verified trail map or evidence of a commercial ski area.
What did the $11.9 million asking price refer to?
The $11.9 million figure was the property’s 2025 asking price in Compass’s listing history. The later $10.75 million figure is the recorded sale price. Those amounts describe different stages of the transaction, so headlines or listings referring to an $11.9 million “sale” would conflate the asking price with the closing price.

The Sacramento Bee also quoted Tosh saying, “Holidays at the lake are the only times I’m not stressed.” That remark accompanied coverage of the listing; it does not change the property’s recorded sale details.

This is a single-property transaction, not a market-wide benchmark. The available figures establish this estate’s asking price, sale price, acreage, shoreline frontage and reported layout; they do not establish how its price compares with other Lake Tahoe homes or whether it was above or below market value. A meaningful valuation comparison would require comparable sales and adjustments for factors such as location, condition, frontage and property rights.
