What is Dare Charged?
Dare Charged is a compact, high-caffeine ready-to-drink iced coffee range from Bega Group’s Dare brand. It launched in Australia in April 2025 in 240 ml cans. Food & Drink Business described it as Dare’s strongest ready-to-drink coffee at launch, reflecting the brand’s product positioning rather than a verified comparison against every product in Dare’s current range. Food & Drink Business reported the launch.
At launch, Dare marketing manager – iced coffee Adelle Cosgrove called the drink a “total game-changer” for people wanting a caffeine kick. That is the company’s promotional description, not independent evidence of effects.
How much caffeine is in a can?
The current Dare product page lists 200 mg of caffeine in each 240 ml can. Launch coverage compared this with 2.5 cups of instant coffee; that is the reports’ equivalence, not a universal measure of coffee strength, since caffeine in a cup varies. See the current Dare product listings.

For scale, PerthNow compared a 240 ml Charged can containing 200 mg caffeine with a 500 ml bottle of standard Dare Espresso, which it reported as containing 80 mg caffeine. The containers are different sizes, so this is a per-container comparison, not a same-volume comparison. PerthNow’s launch report gives that comparison.
How many calories are in Dare Charged?
Launch coverage reported a range of 101–120 calories per 240 ml can across the range. The current brand nutrition information is stated in kilojoules and shows different values for the listed flavours below. Approximate kilocalories are converted from the brand’s kJ figures using 1 kcal ≈ 4.184 kJ; rounding explains small differences from launch reporting.

Inside FMCG’s April 2025 launch coverage reported the broader 101–120 calorie range; it should not be treated as the exact value for every flavour.
Which flavours are available?
The April 2025 launch range was Strong Latte, Salted Caramel Latte and Mocha Latte. The brand’s current product page adds Strawberry Mocha and identifies it as limited time. A current listing does not guarantee that every flavour is stocked at every retailer.

Where can you buy Dare Charged?
At launch in April 2025, coverage described rollout through independent grocers and petrol and convenience stores, with Coles stocking planned for early May. Coles currently has a product detail page for the 240 ml Strong Latte can, but the page does not establish live stock at a particular store or delivery location.
