Its application deadline was 10 January 2025 at 17:30, so that application window is closed. The High Court of Delhi later listed a separate 2026 examination cycle; check the official recruitment page for current notices rather than relying on the old deadline or application link.
Is the Delhi HJS application still open?
No. The High Court of Delhi’s 2024 advertisement opened applications on 27 December 2024 at 10:00 and closed them on 10 January 2025 at 17:30. The preliminary examination was scheduled for 2 February 2025, from 11:00 to 13:00; that date has also passed.
The High Court’s job-openings index later listed a distinct Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination 2026 entry, dated 1 July 2026, and a preliminary-examination admit-card entry dated 21 July 2026. These later notices show that the 2024 headline is not current application guidance. The index does not establish the 2026 application deadline, vacancy details, eligibility rules, or current status, so consult the current notice on the High Court’s recruitment page.
What did the 2024 recruitment notice offer?
The 2024 advertisement listed 16 vacancies: 14 existing posts and two anticipated posts. It cautioned that the vacancy count could change. Applications were accepted online through the High Court website.

Where can applicants find official instructions?
Start at the Delhi High Court recruitment and job-openings page, then open the advertisement and instructions for the correct examination year. The application page and external portal linked from the 2024 notice are historical and should not be used as a current application route.
The 2024 instructions required the application form to be completed in English. Candidates were told to download an admit card and bring original, valid photo identification to the examination centre; an image of identification on a mobile phone was not accepted. The instructions also set out specific provisions for persons with benchmark disabilities, including disability categories, qualifying thresholds, scribe and compensatory-time arrangements, and stage-specific minimum marks. Because these details can materially affect eligibility and examination arrangements, read the full instructions for the applicable cycle.
