It ran March 24 through April 6, 2025, and DQ’s offer page now marks it as concluded. Rewards members can still check their account for a separate birthday deal, which has its own eligibility rules.
What the 85-cent Blizzard deal included
Dairy Queen announced the anniversary promotion on March 21, 2025. At participating U.S. locations, Rewards members could redeem one small Blizzard Treat for 85 cents in the DQ mobile app from March 24 through April 6, 2025, with a purchase of at least $1. The promotion was one-time use; only one discounted treat applied per transaction, and add-ons or modifications could affect the price. DQ’s offer page says the promotion has concluded, and the 2025 announcement gives the dates and purchase terms.

The offer celebrated the company’s 85th anniversary; it was not a reward issued for each customer’s personal birthday.
How DQ’s separate personal birthday offer works
DQ’s current U.S. app FAQ says existing Rewards members must place at least one order of $1 or more while signed in during the 45 days before their birthday to qualify for a birthday offer. The offer appears in the Deals tab on the birthday and is valid for seven days. A new member must sign up and complete an order within the one day leading up to their birthday. See DQ’s app FAQ for the current rules.
#1 Best Overall
- Give the gift of fan food.
- Gift Cards are accepted throughout the United States at any participating DQ location.
- Physical gift cards are delivered active via mail.
- Redeem in store at any participating Dairy Queen locations.
- This item is not eligible for refund, resale, or return.
The public FAQ does not specify which reward an individual will receive. Check the Deals tab in your signed-in account rather than assuming the birthday offer is an 85-cent Blizzard.

- Sign in to the DQ app with your Rewards account.
- Open the Deals tab to see offers currently available to your account and their terms.
- Check with your local restaurant for any separate local special. DQ notes that U.S. and Canadian restaurants are independently owned and operated and may offer their own specials or coupons.
DQ says app deals change weekly, so an offer may vary by account or location. The expired anniversary deal should not be treated as a current discount.
