Some plugins collect a request for you to price manually; others can send a quote based on catalog prices or include WooCommerce shipping and tax. None of the five options below is established as a full live calculator for arbitrary inputs such as labor, dimensions, or travel distance.
For most WooCommerce stores, YITH Request a Quote is the strongest all-round choice. For WooCommerce quotes that account for configured shipping, tax, and fees, consider the official Quote Request for WooCommerce. If you sell services without a WooCommerce catalog, a standalone form plugin is a better fit.
Choose the kind of quote workflow you need
- Product-catalog RFQ: Customers add one or more WooCommerce products to a quote list, submit their details, and wait for your response. Choose this for wholesale, custom products, or negotiated pricing.
- Automatic catalog-price quote: The plugin uses prices already stored in WooCommerce. This can speed up a standard quote, but it does not mean the plugin calculates every custom pricing rule.
- Accurate WooCommerce quote: A quote can include configured product prices, taxes, shipping, and fees. This is useful when the delivered total matters before a customer accepts.
- Service inquiry form: A form collects project details, contact information, and possibly attachments. It does not need a product catalog or quote cart.
- Live calculator or configurator: If price must update from dimensions, labor, distance, materials, or conditional options, evaluate a dedicated calculator or custom pricing system. The RFQ plugins here are not verified as general-purpose live calculators.
Choose a WooCommerce plugin if products, variations, stock, shipping, tax, or payment after acceptance are part of the job. Choose a standalone form if your main goal is to collect service leads or project briefs.

1. YITH Request a Quote for WooCommerce: best overall
YITH is the most complete general-purpose option in this shortlist for stores that need to replace or supplement ordinary checkout with a quote process. It supports an “Add to Quote” experience, quote lists with multiple products, price and cart-button controls, manual and automatic quotes, and customer acceptance or rejection. Accepted quotes can send customers to standard WooCommerce checkout.
What it can do
- Hide prices and cart buttons, with controls for product and user-role visibility described on the product page.
- Collect multiple products in a quote list, including variations.
- Generate an automatic quote from default catalog prices or let an administrator prepare a manual quote.
- Manage quote statuses, set expiration, provide PDFs, and offer accept/reject actions through premium features.
- Allow administrators to create quotes and export or filter requests.
The documented customer flow is to add products to a quote list, submit the form, and receive a quote. The administrator can adjust a manual quote or send one based on catalog prices. Limitations to check
YITH says quote requests use regular product prices and are not compatible with plugins that calculate dynamic quantity discounts in the cart. Administrators can edit prices manually, but should not assume quantity-break pricing will carry into a quote automatically. It also does not directly generate a payment invoice from a quote; an accepted quote can become a WooCommerce order, and separate invoice software may be needed. File uploads may require YITH’s uploads extension rather than being included in the core quote plugin.
For a version-specific check, the product page lists version 4.45.0, released July 28, 2026, with WordPress 6.8 and WooCommerce 10.8 minimum requirements and compatibility listed up to WordPress 7.0.x and WooCommerce 11.0.x. Confirm the live requirements for your installation before buying or updating.

The official WooCommerce extension is notable for making its pricing modes explicit. Its documentation describes Approximate Quote, Accurate Quote, and Let the User Decide modes. In Accurate Quote mode, a customer can see product prices plus configured taxes, shipping, and additional fees before accepting. That makes it the clearest fit here when “instant quote” means a WooCommerce-aware total rather than simply an immediate form confirmation.
Controls and workflow
The extension documents controls for eligible products, guest and logged-in users, preferred-price fields, hiding prices and cart buttons, quote-page setup, and AJAX add-to-quote behavior. It can also convert checkout activity into a quote request. Account registration can be required if your workflow depends on identified customer accounts.

To install the extension, download quote-request-for-woocommerce.zip from your WooCommerce account, then go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New, upload the ZIP, install, and activate it. Open WooCommerce → Quote Requests → Settings to configure the workflow. The official documentation explains the modes and settings. Current commercial pricing and support terms are not established by that documentation, so check the product page at WooCommerce before purchase.
3. ELEX WooCommerce Request a Quote: best conventional B2B alternative
ELEX’s WordPress.org listing describes a familiar RFQ sequence: customers add products to a quote list, complete a form, and request a custom price. That makes it a candidate for wholesale and B2B catalogs where a seller, rather than an automatic pricing engine, prepares the response.

4. WPC Request a Quote: best specialist for WPC product configurations
WPC is a niche option for stores already using WPC Product Bundles or WPC Composite Products. Its WordPress.org listing says customers can add products to a quote list or use a Request a Quote payment method at checkout to turn the cart into a request. It also describes preserving complex WPC product configurations and sending updated pricing, shipping, and payment details after the seller responds.
The adoption signal warrants caution: the WordPress.org tag listing currently shows fewer than 10 active installations and no reviews for this plugin. That does not prove it will fail, but it makes a staging-site test and a support check especially important. See the listing and WPC product page for current details.

How to choose without buying the wrong plugin
Decide whether you need a quote list or a form
If customers need to gather several products, variations, quantities, or configurations before asking for a price, use a WooCommerce quote-list workflow. If they are describing a project, a standalone form may be simpler and avoids introducing a store checkout system.
Define what your “instant” response means
- Submission confirmation: acknowledges receipt but does not give a price.
- Catalog-price quote: uses existing WooCommerce prices and may still need review.
- Accurate total: accounts for configured tax, shipping, and fees, as documented for the official WooCommerce extension’s Accurate mode.
- Negotiated proposal: lets the seller revise price or terms before the customer accepts.
- Live calculated price: requires pricing logic for inputs such as dimensions, labor, options, or distance; verify a dedicated calculator rather than assuming an RFQ plugin includes it.
Check the details that can break a quote
- Product data: Test variations, add-ons, bundles, composites, custom text, and quantity rules to confirm the request preserves the customer’s selections.
- Shipping and tax: Test shipping zones, free-shipping thresholds, local pickup, product shipping classes, fees, and tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive display. An approximate quote may not show the same total as an accurate one.
- Dynamic pricing: Confirm whether cart-based quantity discounts or customer-specific pricing are reflected in quotes. YITH explicitly identifies dynamic quantity discounts as a limitation.
- Files: Check whether upload support is built in or requires an add-on, along with file-size and type limits, storage, privacy, and email handling.
- Customer access: Guest requests can reduce friction; account-based access is more useful for repeat buyers who need quote history or company workflows.
- After acceptance: Confirm whether acceptance creates a payable WooCommerce order, whether payment happens at checkout, and whether a separate invoice tool is needed.
- Maintenance: Verify WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, checkout, theme, and extension compatibility on the vendor’s current documentation. Do not assume compatibility with checkout blocks, HPOS, subscriptions, or other third-party tools unless it is stated and tested.
Test the whole quote journey on a staging site
Before switching a live store to quotes, run the full process as both a logged-out visitor and a logged-in customer. Include a simple product and any product types that matter to your catalog.
