As of August 16, 2026, the Pixel 10 family, Pixel Watch 4 and Galaxy Z Fold7 are previous-generation devices: Pixel 11 and Pixel Watch 5 preorder coverage is live, and Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold8. The most credible savings are up to $300 off unlocked Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL models through the Google Store, and trade-in offers on the older foldables and carrier plans. Treat “free” and “up to” as conditional, not as cash discounts; compare the full cost of the required plan with an unlocked purchase before you commit.

Pixel 10: verify the live price before choosing last year’s model
Google’s Pixel 10 product page continues to list carrier offers, but the current amount and terms are not established here. Start with the unlocked price, exact storage and any trade-in value shown on the Pixel 10 product page. Google says the Pixel 10 receives seven years of new features and updates; that support commitment helps its long-term value, but it does not make an older model a better buy at any price.
Pixel 11 preorder coverage is live, so compare the actual Pixel 10 checkout total with the Pixel 11 price and any launch offer. A modest discount may not justify buying older hardware when a new-generation model is close in price. A larger unconditional reduction is easier to evaluate than a headline carrier credit that depends on years of service.

Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL: the clearest unlocked discount
Google’s offers page lists savings of up to $300 on unlocked Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL models. The amount is a maximum, not a guaranteed reduction on every storage option. Check the Google Store offers page and the Pro product page for the model-specific price, trade-in, store credit and expiration terms before ordering.
Google’s discount is the most straightforward route for a buyer who wants an unlocked phone and does not want to add a carrier line. Also compare carrier offers if you already use the qualifying service and have a trade-in worth submitting. Verizon has advertised a free Pixel 10 Pro with a qualifying trade-in and Unlimited Ultimate; AT&T promotions have referenced free Pixel 10 Pro devices with eligible trade-ins and qualifying service. These are not unconditional free-phone offers: the current eligible plans, trade-in list, credit duration, taxes, fees and cancellation rules must be confirmed with the carrier.
Best Buy’s AT&T promotion page has referenced up to $1,250 in bill credits for a Pixel 10 Pro XL with an eligible trade-in. The page is a place to check terms, not proof that the maximum is available to every buyer today: confirm the expiration, exact model, plan and credit schedule at checkout. Pixel 10 Pro Fold: judge the carrier offer by total cost
Google Store offer material references Verizon trade-in savings of up to $1,000 on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. That is a maximum tied to carrier and trade-in conditions, not a $1,000 unlocked price cut for every customer. Check the Google Store offers collection and Verizon’s current terms for the exact eligible trade-in, required plan, credit period, existing-customer eligibility and consequences of leaving early. Compare the carrier’s total cost with an unlocked purchase: add the plan premium over the full credit period, activation or upgrade charges, taxes and any remaining balance on your old phone. If the required plan costs more than your current service, that difference reduces the promotion’s real value.
A foldable also has a higher repair and insurance exposure than a conventional phone. Before buying either a new or discounted unit, read the return and warranty terms and price protection separately; do not assume a trade-in offer includes useful coverage. Google’s Preferred Care availability and price should be checked for the exact device and state.

Pixel Watch 4: check LTE benefits against the new model and service cost
Choose by size and connectivity first: compare 41mm with 45mm, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth with LTE. An LTE model is valuable when you plan to use it away from your phone, but its data benefit is only worthwhile if the service and any associated plan make sense for you.
Google offer pages reference a Google Fi wireless-data benefit for LTE Pixel Watch 4 purchases. Those pages also contain a promotion that ended August 2, 2026, so the current status is unverified until the live offer terms or cart confirms it. Check the Google Store offers page and watch offers page; compare the total cost with the Pixel Watch 5 before buying the older generation.
For refurbished or open-box watches, verify the seller, condition, included accessories, warranty, return period and battery terms in the listing. A lower price is not comparable to a new watch if the return window or coverage is materially weaker.

Galaxy Z Fold7 deals: Samsung trade-in, retailer inventory and AT&T
Samsung direct
Samsung advertises up to $1,000 in Galaxy Z Fold7 trade-in savings. The actual value depends on the eligible device and its condition. Samsung says its trade-in generally cannot be combined with other promotions unless the terms specifically allow it, so do not add separate advertised incentives together without checking the offer rules. Review the Fold7 offers page and unlocked buying page. Samsung also lists plan options and bundled benefits on its offers page; a subscription or service is not the same as cash off unless you would otherwise pay for it.
Best Buy clearance and open-box listings
Best Buy has Galaxy Z Fold7 clearance and refurbished inventory, but stock, storage, color, activation requirements and condition vary by listing. Use the Fold7 clearance search to see what is currently available and read each item’s return and warranty terms. The earlier Best Buy $200 e-gift-card offer ended August 6, 2026; it should not be treated as a current promotion. A gift card is also worth less than a cash discount if you will not use it.
AT&T activation offer
AT&T’s foldable page lists Galaxy Z Fold7 offers with eligible trade-in terms, including a $0 monthly figure on at least one promotional listing. That monthly figure depends on offer and service eligibility; AT&T says taxes on the full device price may be due at sale. Confirm the trade-in, required plan, bill-credit term, cancellation consequences and any activation charge on the AT&T foldables page.

How to tell a genuine discount from an expensive commitment
Separate the types of savings
- Instant price cut: Reduces the purchase price without requiring a new line or trade-in. This is usually easiest to compare with an unlocked phone.
- Trade-in credit: Depends on the old device, its condition and whether it passes inspection. Compare the promotion with what you could receive by selling or keeping that device.
- Monthly bill credits: May spread the discount over 24 or 36 months. Leaving or changing the qualifying service early can end remaining credits, depending on the offer terms.
- New-line offer: May require switching carriers or adding a line. Include the cost of that service, not just the device payment.
- Gift card, store credit or bundle: Count it at full value only if you would spend that amount on something you already planned to buy.
- Clearance, open-box or refurbished: Check who inspected or refurbished the product, its condition, battery terms, included accessories, warranty and return window. These categories are not interchangeable.
Calculate the carrier offer’s effective cost
Use this comparison before accepting a “free” phone:
Effective device cost = amount paid for the phone and taxes/fees + extra plan cost over the credit term + remaining balance or lost credits if you leave − credits you actually receive.
For example, if a promotion is paid as 36 monthly credits, compare the required plan’s total cost for those 36 months with the cost of keeping your current plan and buying the phone unlocked. The offer details here do not establish a single qualifying plan premium or credit schedule for every customer, so use your own account’s quoted terms rather than assuming the device is free.
For a trade-in, also account for any unpaid balance on your old phone and the value you give up by not selling it privately. Photograph its condition, record its IMEI and keep proof of shipment or handoff in case the trade-in value is disputed.
Best route by buyer type
- Want an unlocked phone and flexible service: Start with Google’s Pixel 10 Pro/Pro XL unlocked offer and Samsung’s direct Fold7 trade-in terms. Compare the actual cart total, not the maximum advertised credit.
- Already on a qualifying carrier plan: Check Verizon or AT&T offers if you can keep the line through the credit term and your trade-in qualifies. Verify whether taxes are charged on full retail price and whether existing customers qualify.
- Have no trade-in: Prioritize an unconditional unlocked discount or verified clearance listing. Trade-in headlines do not help if you cannot meet their eligibility terms.
- Shopping for a foldable: Compare Fold7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold against their newer successors, then weigh any savings against coverage, return rules and repair exposure. Samsung Care+ terms and pricing depend on the device and current quote; check Samsung Care+ before deciding.
- Shopping for a smartwatch: Buy Pixel Watch 4 LTE only if the current benefit and cellular costs suit your use; otherwise compare Wi-Fi/Bluetooth pricing and Pixel Watch 5 availability.
- Considering refurbished or open-box: Buy only when the listing clearly states condition, seller, warranty and returns, and the lower price compensates for any reduced coverage or missing accessories.
Promotions to treat as expired or unconfirmed
Do not count the Best Buy $200 Galaxy Z Fold7 gift card as active: its listed promotion ended August 6, 2026. Samsung’s indexed Fold7 page also showed a promotion of up to $500 for July 6–19, 2026, which had expired by August 16. The Pixel Watch 4 offer pages include a promotion ending August 2, 2026. Retail pages can retain old terms after an offer expires, so rely on dates and terms visible in the live checkout, not a search snippet.
