No—Microsoft Rewards has not been permanently removed from the Bing mobile app. If the Rewards tile, daily check-in, or quiz links have disappeared, the cause is more likely to be an app update, temporary service problem, staged interface change, or an account- or region-specific rollout.

Microsoft’s current support documentation still lists mobile Bing searches as an eligible way to earn Microsoft Rewards points. The web dashboard at rewards.bing.com remains the most dependable way to check your balance and available activities.

Where the Rewards section may be hiding

The menu location is not identical across every Bing app version. Try both of these paths:

  1. Open the Bing app.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the upper-left corner.
  3. Look for Microsoft Rewards.

On some app builds, the route is different:

  1. Open Bing and tap All Apps in the lower-right corner.
  2. Select the Rewards icon.

If neither option appears, that usually means the feature is not being displayed for the current app session, build, Microsoft account, or region. It does not by itself show that Microsoft has ended the Rewards program.

Why the tile can disappear

Users on both iPhone and Android have reported the Rewards section disappearing after app updates or during temporary service disruptions. In some cases, the link returned later without another permanent change. Other reports describe the tile returning after deleting and reinstalling the app, while the same app version continued to show different menus to different users.

That pattern points to a UI or availability issue rather than a universal shutdown. Microsoft may also test interface changes gradually, so two accounts using the same operating-system version can see different Bing menus.

Use the Rewards website as a fallback

Go directly to rewards.bing.com and sign in with the same Microsoft account used in the Bing app. The dashboard can show:

  • Available earning activities on the Earn page
  • Your current points and points breakdown
  • Daily set activities, where available
  • Streak information and related settings

Microsoft says mobile earning availability and daily limits vary by country or region. Depending on your location and account, eligible activities can include:

The website is especially useful when the app menu is missing because it separates access to your Rewards account from the Bing app interface.

Steps to restore a missing Rewards section

  1. Check the account. Open the Bing profile menu and confirm that you are signed in to the Microsoft account that normally holds your points. Switching accounts can make Rewards activities appear to have vanished.
  2. Force-close Bing. Close the app completely, wait a few seconds, and open it again.
  3. Check for updates. Install any pending Bing update from the Apple App Store or Google Play. If the problem started immediately after an update, the issue may require a later server- or app-side fix.
  4. Sign out and back in. This can refresh account and regional settings, although it will not fix a feature that Microsoft has disabled temporarily.
  5. Reinstall Bing. Delete the app, install it again, and sign in. Some users have reported that this restored the Rewards tile, but it is not a guaranteed fix.
  6. Use the dashboard. Continue at rewards.bing.com while the in-app link is unavailable.
  7. Report the problem. In Bing, look for Settings > Feedback. For missing points, check-ins, or streak problems, use Microsoft Rewards Support.

How to protect a Rewards streak

If the missing menu is putting a daily streak at risk, check the dashboard rather than waiting for the Bing tile to return. Microsoft’s Streak protection setting is available from the Rewards dashboard:

  • Desktop: open the Rewards dashboard and use the toggle beside Streak protection.
  • Mobile: scroll farther down the dashboard and look for the toggle beside Daily set.

Microsoft’s current instructions say Streak protection begins with 14 protection days. Those days are renewed each calendar year; unused or additional protection days cannot be bought or earned. The precise activities and controls shown can still vary by account or region.

What the missing tile does—and does not—mean

Claim What the available information supports
“Microsoft permanently removed Rewards from Bing.” Not verified. Microsoft still documents Bing mobile searches as a Rewards earning method.
“My points are gone because the app tile disappeared.” Not necessarily. Check the Rewards dashboard using the same Microsoft account.
“Reinstalling always fixes the problem.” Incorrect. Reinstallation has helped some users, but others saw the tile return later or remain missing.
“The app and website must show the same menu.” Not necessarily. The mobile app interface can vary by build, account, region, and rollout.

Until Microsoft publishes a notice confirming a permanent change, the sensible approach is to treat the missing section as an app-access problem. Verify the account, try the alternate menu path, use the web dashboard, and report the issue if it continues.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: A missing Rewards section in the Bing app does not mean Microsoft Rewards has ended. Check both Bing menu locations, confirm your account, and use rewards.bing.com for earning activities, points, and streak settings. Reinstalling may help, but the most reliable fix may be waiting for a service or interface update.
