The headline refers to the maximum value of promotional bill credits, not money taken off the purchase price immediately. At roughly $36.12 per month, 36 regular installments total about $1,300.32. If you qualify for credits covering the full eligible device payment, the credits offset those installments over the full term.

Trade-in device
An eligible trade-in is required for the maximum promotion. The exact models and qualifying values can depend on the offer version. Do not assume that every Galaxy phone, every iPhone, or any device in any condition earns the full credit. The offer requires an eligible AT&T unlimited plan and an approved installment agreement. Whether a particular existing line, upgrade, new line, or account type qualifies can vary by offer version. The 36-month commitment and what can end credits
AT&T’s offer language says promotional credits stop if you cancel service, and the remaining installment balance can become due. Changing to an ineligible plan, moving a line between account types, or upgrading early may also affect credits under the applicable terms. For example, after 12 months, a customer who cancels may have to pay the remaining device balance while losing future credits; the phone was not made free independently of the service commitment.
Do not count on an early-upgrade feature preserving the promotion. AT&T describes Next Up Anytime as optional and lists it at $10 per month in the offer-page copy, but how an early upgrade affects this specific promotion should be confirmed in the written terms for the transaction.

Storage capacity matters
The clearest AT&T wording for the maximum credit identifies the 256GB Galaxy S26 Ultra. Do not apply the $1,300 headline automatically to 512GB or 1TB models: higher-capacity versions can have a remaining monthly charge, and the selected storage and color can change the installment amount and credit. Check the exact configuration in the order summary.

Samsung’s page separates its trade-in display from AT&T financing, so compare the final checkout totals and written terms rather than adding the advertised discounts together. Buying through Samsung does not by itself establish that you avoid AT&T’s plan or installment conditions when you choose AT&T financing.
