Why book sales do not reveal his personal earnings
A book’s retail sales value is not the same as the author’s take-home income. The reported figures do not specify the royalties Walliams received, contractual terms, costs, taxes, or how revenue was divided between the author, publisher, and other parties. Likewise, the MBC PR profile’s worldwide copy and language figures are publicity-profile claims about reach, not a financial statement.
Walliams’s public profile also includes television. How publishing changes may affect future income
In December 2025, HarperCollins said it had decided not to publish new titles by Walliams.
